No, I'd switch churches because my religious teacher would be saying something directly contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. (And call the local athorities to prevent the lynching of a child (hate crime of agism... kids are rebelious; it's normal))

I would refer back to the Bible for confirmation. That is not something that God would normally do, so I doubt that the religious leader is truly hearing from God. God never contradicts His word, so I would say that the religious leader is hearing a voice other than God's. So, no I would not stone the rebellious child based on the word of the leader. That is an Old Testament practice, and was only used in extreme cases where the child refused to correct errant behaviours, and was proven by the elders of the church to be beyond hope of correction.

Jesus Christ is my religious leader. If a man/woman tells me something, I read the Bible to see if what they are telling me is true or not.
I would not drag my child to town and stone them.
I live under the New Testament law, and that requirement was for the Israelites living under the Old Testament law.

i f we have a rebelious child we need to look at the" WHY?"question, there is a lot of help around and institutions.
a religious leader in this world can be send to jail by just reporting them, call 911, and even they are famous, they are all over the news.
God calls people, families to to good to them and fix whathever is wrong in their relationships. I do not believe that God talks to leaders only, He can talk to you and me, and the best language is love, and in love we see the fruits of the spirits which includes patience, peace, joy....
A good leader will not order a parent to harm their child.
IMAGINE every rebelious person send to die, they will be a very short number of people in this world, and like this God cant not show his power of redemtion, change and forgiveness.
Jesus die for the humanity, he is like our LAWYER, he will give us a chance to show is love.
Dear God, forgive us the same way we forgive others.....
and Jesus said: forgive them because they dont know what they are doing....

No because as a Christian I follow the bible not a imperfect person. The bible use to command stoning, but when God sent Jesus he was the "ultimate" sacrifice where we can ask for forgiveness through him instead of sacrifices.
