It just seems to me that people are either playing games or just downing others religions. Not really asking questions to learn anything. Maybe I just have not read enough questions yet. What are your thoughts on it?

I've learned a lot of minor detail things, but still interesting. I agree with Adam's Rib that the preaching work in the U.S. is pretty much done, however, there are still third world countries that need to be addressed. The bible did say that the good news would be preached to all the nations, it did not say to all individuals, so we really are in the last days.

I have found a least one person, maybe two, on this site that are actually trying to learn the truth. I don't think they are American born.

One question recently was about the NWT being accurate. The person referenced a Dr. Jason David BeDunn and his book, the funny thing is that the Dr.'s brother Rodney was a neighbor of mine for years and even rented a room from me at one point. He had told me his brother was a theologist when I would talk to him about religion. I was happy to see that his brother supports the NWT. I'm sure that Rodney has mentioned some of our religious discussions with his brother over the years.

As far as the hecklers, you can't blame them entirely. Some churches actually show lying videos to their parishioners to warn them about the JWs. It seems that people have infiltrated the organization just so they can get the "skinny" on how it operates, but even then, they can't get it straight because their minds are perverted.

I like the way Moises3702 put it in a recent question. They were talking about using Jehovah as God's name and of course bringing up all kinds of excuses etc. I think he stopped them right in their tracks when he said

"They fear that name, they don't like to mention (it) cause the demons that possess their minds hate that name."

Romans 12:20 states: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him somehing to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head." 21 Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.

I believe that some do...you have to really be careful and use discernment when answering a question on here to see if it is a serious question, or just one to stir things up. I have had occassional feedback to my answers, and that is always encouraging. I have been contacted because someone read my answers and wanted to know more. Of course, on the flip side, I have been contacted by some who want to try and persuade me that a false bible teaching is really true, like the trinity. But I don't like to waste too much time arguing with someone if they are really set on believing false doctrine.

Anyway, I guess the answer to your question is... people have all kinds of different motives and agendas for the questions and answers that they give. But if even one person's heart was touched by an answer that we give, then I think it may all be worth it! There are flowers and weeds in every garden, you just have to know what to look for, then you feed the flowers and pull the weeds!

Yes, some do.
Some ppl really do want a satisfying answer.
Some ppl here think its a forum for bashing others.

I always learn from my (worldwide association of)
brothers & sisters.
I'm fairly new, (not brand new) to learning & knowing about my God Jehovah.
So, I can do well by learning from them.

I learned 'just how wide spread Satan really is in the minds of the human race.'
How much certain members of Christendom really loathe Jehovah & His ppl & earthly org. And they "claim" they r Christians.?..
I saw the 1 answer'er that said what another brother had said
'they hate His name, the demons that possess their minds don't even mention it.'
It ain't verbatim. But that's what was said.
Right! Satan blinds their minds.

I learned about the ppl who believe the trinity lie.
That the 1's that believe this lie,
are some of the most hateful ppl on here.
Fairly, yelling @ ppl "You're Not Christian!"
Yeah, I'm not Christian bc I don't believe in the Trinity lie
as u do.
o.k., buddy ...ya wanna slow ur roll there?
That's the same as saying I'm not a Christian bc I don't worship idols / graven images.
Nor bow to them.
Or wear them on my person.
Nor have them in my house.
btw- I don't put them on my brother's grave or
my mother-in-law's.

I fully believe in Christ and the resurrection.
Live by it; & act upon it.
This makes me a Christian.

I learned that the workers are few & we do need to ask the Father to send more, beg Him to send more workers.

I agree that a lot of people ask questions that have nothing to do w/ religion, OR they just want to make statements regarding why they don't believe in God or that bash him because they don't believe in him.

I realize that in this forum, we can virtually say or ask anything we want (not everyone gets reported or deleted) but sometimes it gets quite annoying ... you can't always ignore ignorance.

I feel that as long as those of us who use this forum properly and don't waste people's time ... it's okay ... I enjoy answer questions for people FROM THE BIBLE ... as at least in this category, I certainly don't want to mislead people by giving my opinion. It's all about helping ones who really are sincere when they ask ??? and giving them real answers.

If you can filter out some of the rhetoric you can find some genuine questions with genuine answers. I have learned some about other religions and philosophies. I have also learned there are a lot of bigoted and hating people out there.

Sometimes. Sometimes I actually give serious answers. Sometimes I actually ask serious questions. I learn stuff. The best thing I've learned here is that I'm not the only Atheist in the world.

there's a lot of shenaigans going on here, but much can
be learned. I've found a lot of thought provoking information
on both sides of the Christianity issue.

It can be revealing, if you're interested in how other people think.

I'm more here to answer than to ask anyway.

I think people that are truely seeking answers or direction do absorb some information.
