I run cross country, and only get th eoccasional blister, but I have a cluster of three blisters on the side of my left foot, like two inches under my big toe, and on the inside. It's swollen and it pains my foot even to walk barefoot. When I found them they were already deflated/popped. Any ideas on what I should do to get rid of them or prevent them?

Try soaking your feet in warm water for around 20 minutes to help slough off the dead skin of the busted blisters but, don't peel it any. Any excess dead skin that's left should wear off within a few days if you stay inside and keep your feet bare. In the future try to wear thicker socks that breath well and more comfortable shoes of the appropriate width and lengnth that provide plenty of room to flex your toes but, without slipping.

Get expensive duraspun socks that wick sweat away. That is what is causing your blisters. When you sweat, your feet rub up against the sock which rubs up against your shoe. New balance makes a good, and they keep you warn in the winter because they a thicker(that rhymed by accident).

We shouldn't say.it could be you just need better running shoes.Wearing to thick a pair socks! You have to soft a bottom shoe for the type of trail or area, your running in? Go to your doctor to see whether it could be a more serious condition. Take care!

ask at a sports store or specialty shoe store for socks made just for runners. there is a medicine available over the counter to stop blisters made by BandAid. in the meantime, antiseptic cream and bandaids and keep them clean til they heal.
