Yes.
And I find it hilarious that "Jesus is King!" says "I don't know maybe some people are."
The typical American Christian conception of "God" is a sort of "Get Out of Thinking Free" card. Death is scary, but why think about it? You're going to heaven for believing a bunch of nonsense, so don't worry your pretty little head. Math and science are hard, and history is complicated; but it's all much easier if you pretend that it's all epitomized in a single Textbook full of simplistic Bronze Age ideas. And life isn't fair; but God will equalize things after we die, rewarding us in heaven while sending our enemies to hell (never mind that our enemies probably have the same idea).

You are the one facing the "unknown"; we know full well what the plan of the day is.
You just walk around insulting folks because you have no idea whats gonna happen to you beyond worms eating your flesh.
Sounds like your scenario is something to be afraid of, not ours.
Whenever I hear the term "imaginary friend" I get a real kick out of it:
God says he knows full well that many don't believe He exists. He says he is going to turn your heads around to see him in full view. The interesting thing is not that he will do that, but HOW HE IS GOING TO DO IT.
He's going to turn your head around to see him using FISH HOOKS. Ouch. That should get your attention, huh?

Not as adults. The question is, why do children feel the need to do this? Is it only those who have an unsettled childhood and need the comfort of the imaginary friend or is there really someone there?

does it rely if it replaced into the direct Spirit of God filling you or if it replaced into God working for the period of the human beings around you or if it replaced into in undemanding terms a surge of neuro-chemical compounds initiated with the aid of the friendly placing? you felt greater effective. for the checklist, i'm a psychology significant & a Christian. I attend a church the place I agree w/most of the instructions, and am very a lot attentive to how "the tutor is placed on" and how situations of fellowship and worship track effect the minds of human beings. i don't, for the main area, get any amusement out of the fellowship, and many times the worship track is to not my flavor, yet I nevertheless am in a position to concentration interior and are available across a feeling of peace that replaced into unknown to me formerly starting to be a Christian.

Newby,
Are you looking for a JOB? I don't need an imaginary friend. I worship our GOD and FATHER in Heaven. HE sent HIS SON so that we would have an opportunity to be in heaven. Do YOU need a copy of the Bible or to find a study group so that you too will have the answers that you evidently are seeking? I would be glad to assist if you need it. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks,
Eds

The unknown is nothing to look forward to, or be afraid of.
Actually I find the unknown quite exciting.

maybe until they are old enough to reason for themselves.
See Matthew 22:37
1 Peter 3: 15
Isaiah 1:18
christianity is a faith that encourages us to use our reason to prove our faith, never does it say we should believe without evidence. I think it's very sad when others judge christians as stupid simply because an experience of God is outside of their own experience.
