You asked where one finds delight if "Intelligence is nothing without delight"?

Curiosity - a thirst for answers and new discoveries brings joy and delight. As does laughter...

"Time spent laughing is time spent with the gods."

Intelligence is highly overrated, and people who think they are, aren't as intelligent as they think. Furthermore, as with any complex concept, intelligence is a difficult to define term, with many aspects, and it takes on many appearances in the various peoples that claim to have it.

One can only go so far with intelligence, and it is by no means the only answer to success or contentment in life.

Quotes by God - who had a few things to say about knowledge, intelligence and wisdom

1 Corinthians 8:Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that "all of us possess knowledge." "Knowledge" puffs up, but love builds up.

Ecclesiastes 7:The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.

1 Corinthians 8: If any one imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

Ecclesiastes 9: Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to the men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

Daniel 2:20 Daniel said: "Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever. to whom belong wisdom and might. 21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22 he reveals deep and mysterious things; he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.

If you find delight simply by understanding, then you will find all the delight in life that you need for this life in the wisdom and the love of God.
