No, EVERYBODY sins. Preachers are just born again christians spreading the word hoping to convert other people too. I believe in global warming, there's all this evidence and proof for it.

Well Al Gore, and preachers do sin, which they both have been doing a lot they shouldn't spread the word. And why are you liberals even allowing Al Gore to talk about Global Warming like its his baby is just plain retarded to me. Besides with true science there is no religion :)

2+2=4 even if Al Gore says so, and 3+3=6 even if Al Gore says it is 5.
As for being involved in the science, Al's role as a politician is indeed important to the science. Public dollars and charitable dollars fund research. Al influences both government spending and personal spending.
I don't think Al Gore's doomsday scenarios(20 foot sea level rise) will happen. Oil prices are rising and oil reserves are dropping. I think wind, solar, hydropower, and biomass are going to get much bigger, and while global warming is real, it will be a moot point by 2020 when oil production is in obvious decline.

Al Gore's believability is suspect due to his actions and that makes his entire message suspect.
Just as with the televangelists who get caught as being hypocrites can give Christianity a bad reputation...
AND it is a fact that Al Gore's global warming scaremingering presents exgerated and unsubstantiated extremist fallacies...
There is simply NO WAY that the sea level can rise 20 ft.
There are also potential BENNEFITS from global warming...
As for New Orleans eventually being where you can only visit it using scuba gear... thats a given. Doesn't matter if sea level rises or nbot... the ground the city is sitting on has been sinking since before the city was built. by 30 years from now it will be impossible to keep the streets dry.

It is only important if he is a hypocrite and asks me to change my lifestyle, and he is not. It is even worse if he gains from his hypocrisy. That makes him a crook, just like the TV preacher that isn't honest and takes the peoples money.
If he really believes, then he should be making the same sacrifices.
I know most liberals don't get it, but character does matter to most people.
It has nothing to do with the science. It is what it is.

If a minister sins, and the church community says it is o.k. for him to sin, because he is spreading the word of God, but you should not sin, then I would be put off by religion. But It is not just all Gore, there are a lot of suspicious behaviour.
“With the publication of the article in Science [in 1995], I
gained significant credibility in the community of scientists
working on climate change. They thought I was one of
them, someone who would pervert science in the service of
social and political causes. So one of them let his guard
down. A major person working in the area of climate
change and global warming sent me an astonishing email
that said “We have to get rid of the Medieval Warm
Period.”

Wegman Report
In our further exploration of the social
network of authorships in temperature
reconstruction, we found that at least 43
authors have direct ties to Dr. Mann by
virtue of coauthored papers with him. Our
findings from this analysis suggest that
authors in the area of paleoclimate studies
are closely connected and thus
‘independent studies’ may not be as
independent as they might appear on the
surface.
P.D. Jones refuses to disclose how he achieved the number.
"We have 25 or so years invested in the work. (the temperature increase calculation during the 20th century)Why should I
make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and
find something wrong with it."
(Jones’ reply to Warwick Hughes, 21. February 2005;
confirmed by Jones when asked by Von Storch)
Scientist’s need “to get some broader based
support, to capture the public’s imagination...that,
of course, entails getting loads of media coverage.
So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make
simplified dramatic statements, and make little
mention of any doubts we may have…each of us
has to decide what the right balance is between
being effective and being honest.

the Institute for International Studie, and Professor by Courtesy in the Department of Civil
and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, Discover Magazine.
Like it or not, many people are put off from religion due to the behaviour of ministers.
And if a minister sins, nobody in the religious community tries to defend him. When people defend Al Gore, (who I use to admire) they are making things worse.

Just like the preacher who isn't true to his word, they as with Algore are interested only in the money. These false preachers can bring in the big bucks from the fools that think they will "save" them and the world.
PT Barnum was right...... sigh.
