I have to travel for school and live in the country of my choice for at least 3 months. I want to go to either Whales, Ireland, Australia, or England. I cannot decide where to go. I want to live in all of them. Any advice on where to go or how to decide (besides a pro con list)? Anyone been to any of those countries? Please help, I have to travel Fall 08 and finish all the paperwork Spring 08.

Which place has good beach weather? Which place has good snowstorms? I'm more of a cold weather person, but I love the beach as well.

the answer is simple, Australia is full of Irish and English, so I think that's proof enough. come to Australia. and yes we do have attitude that this country is the best place to live in the world, but we're also very willing to share with all the peoples of the world, so come on down you'll love it.

If you like cold weather and hot weather don't go to Queensland (Northern Australia) because it is very humid. You will have to drive to see the snow in the mountains. It does not snow in any cities. The snow fields are about an hour and half from Melbourne or 2 hours from Sydney.
It doesn't snow at all in Western Australia but the scenery is spectacular. Perth is a gorgeous city with golden sandy beaches and the sun sets over the ocean on the West Coast, so that is nice. It depends what you are studying suppose.

England and Wales doesn't get a lot of snow. Unless you go into the mountains. Personally....having lived in England and Wales - I would go to Australia or Ireland.
The UK tends to be very wet, with snow falling heavier the further North you go. If you like beach, Australia is better. Actually, Aus is better all around. People are better, culture is better, loads to do. People don't moan all the time etc etc (am not Australian by the way - just travel loads!)

Well I have been to Ireland and Wales a few times and I live in England. Not been to Austila but know people out there.
It really depends I guess what you want.
If hot weather is your thing Austrila is for you, plus people are on the most part postive about the country.
Not been to Wales and Ireland for a while but yeah nice enough.
England were I live I think its a nice place to live, not if you like sun all the time and isn't the cheapest of places if you live in the South. North is cheaper. But theres lots going on, people living here can be a bit negative about living here but I feel its just the grass is always greener on the otherside types of things. After going to quite a few other countries England still remians one of my favorite countries.

I have been to all of them but Australia is home and the best. There is snow in southeast Australia in the winter and there is a good skiing industry. Otherwise it has about 20,000km of beaches. Live in Australia but visit the British Isles once or twice and you'll have the best of both worlds.
