Tweens are pre-teens. Tweens are usually considered to be 10 -12 year olds. Some people will call 9 a tween, but personally I think that kids grow up fast enough we should still consider 9 a child.

there are the same thing, "tweens" is "between teens" and are considered 10-12 and pre-teens are the ages of 11 and 12. There is little or no difference of the names for the ages.

I believe the terms "tween" and "pre-teen" are two terms that mean the same thing, are just called by different groups of people. The age group of tween is normally between 11-13, the time that girls usually start caring what they look like, gigling about girls etc. Some people even consider the 13,14 y.o.'s to be still in their tweens, so i think it really all just depeds on who you ask.

I thought they were the same thing: tweens and pre teens...they are just 2 different terms for ages like 9 or 10-12 or so....I suppose 13 could be considered tween b/c they are a teen, but not fully there yet....hhhhmmmm

I think "tweens" are the name given to the age group below teens. about 9-12 year olds. I think "pre-teen" might refer to how the tweens act. they act a little mature, but are still not teenagers. I think i am wrong but anyways...

I consider tweens and preteens to be pretty much the same thing just two different ways of saying it. Tweens/preteens are anywhere from 8 to 12. But if you say the two are separate ages then tweens is 8-10 and preteen is 10-12.
