why is there so much disagreement about them?
Isn't your god able to provide a text that everyone, despite their differences, able to agree upon? Or is that one of his limitations?

Khalid - You, too, are evading the question. Please tell me why, if the koran is the perfect word of Allah, there is any disagreement about it? Is Allah too limited to write a text that everyone can agree upon?

It's interesting that, out of all these answers, none of them actually address the question. Each ignores it and answers it's own version.

each little faction is convinced that they have the "true" teaching and all the others are wrong.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We are all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat. "Or else you wouldn't have come here."

As far as the Quran its still in its original language, you can still read it in Arabic, 1400+ years later, which cannot be said about any other book, the Bible been chopped and changed to suit mans needs not Gods commands upon us.
In fact there is exists a manner of recitation of the Quran, aloud, this is in terms of phonetics and the place of articulation of a letter. There are ten valid modes of the recitation of the Quran all ten have a link directly to the instructions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him). Also anyone can pick up any Arabic book from the last 1400 years read it and get something out of it, ask yourself can this be done in any other language? Maybe in Hebrew but Hebrew wasn't formalized as a language until the 11th century.
Anyone can study Arabic and read the quran in this time, can you cannot do the same with any other language. The Arabic language is enough a miracle for anyone.

I'm a Buddhist! What I had learned was that there is no God in this world. The God is yourself. You make your destiny and you make your karma. What you believe will happen if you want it to happen.
As someone famous said (I think was Issac Newton), for there is a force of action, there is an equal total reaction. So that goes for the same in religion. What we do good there will be good in return if we do not yearn for it. Then that will turn bad.
For everything we do bad, there will be situations that are unforeseen that are bad in return.
So, in the question that was asked. Why today in the face of religion that the Muslims' Ahlas and The God of Jesus Christ in the bible, the writings been changed if it were centuries ago? written in stone? The books are written by men and past down by generations. Different interpretations will unfocus the path of true reality in religion and sway us to think differetly.

Your mistake is believing the islam lie that allah is God. You are talking about two different faiths that have two different books and only one of them follows God. The Holy Bible is the Word of God. It's horrible that some people choose to follow a false prophet instead of God.
EDIT: The Christians have answered your question only you are either too politically correct to admit that islam is a false teaching or you hate God so much that you just want to continue bashing Him. islam is not from God. allah is not God. That answers your question.
God Bless.

You have a point.
Let me tell you this:May be God send down the same massage but people changed it (as much as they can) to rescue their kingdom.
Let me give you a hint Romans crucified Jesus and then they declared he was the son of God at 325 A.D.
Read the Council of Nicea.
Find the similarities between Judaism and Islam
And have a good day

There is only one God, for the whole universe. We Muslims, believe in Jesus, Mohammad, and all prophets "peace be upon them". Jesus carried the same message as Islam which is to worship one God and obey his rules. Also, the Quran has gathered what is written in the Bible and the Jews' book, and added new rules, because both the bible and the Jews' book were altered by humans. But the Quran is not. God said that cus the Quran is the last heavenly book to earth and, it will be protected from alteration forever. God can make this world perfect and peaceful if he wishes, but he gave each human the choice to explore and seek the truth for her/himself and to choose between right and wrong. He created us all to worship his majesty and to test our faith.

Holy books aren't God's perfect word. They are man's words about a divine God. This is why an agreement can't be reached, because men can't agree. It's not a limitation of God, but of man.

well, who says that our gods are the same?
the muslims do.
allah and god/g-d are definitely not the same. (y would a fair god switch sides to love war and death, and to support men and practices that were originally banned in the bible? )
