what it will take ??
i want to listen to radio stations which are having very weak signals at my town .when i take my radio @Top floor of my building it receives all fm stations correctly but when i take it inside my home downstairs it doesnt receive any thing . please help me in this. thanx in advance

Keep in mind the dimensions do make a difference and the cable used to connect the antenna to the radio makes a difference.

At these frequency it is line of sight. The signals reflect off of many things but the reflectivity changes with the weather. your best solution is to put the antenna on the top floor and run a coax cable down to the radio.

You can either buy a signal booster or if you really do want to build one for yoursef you will need all the proper tools as well as parts required. Come to think of it maybe you should just buy the booster it would be easier.

you can improvise.. just buy any electric wire.. attached it to the antenna of your device and just stretch it as far and high as you like. it recieves signals efficiently as any antenna does.. the same thing they do for radio capable cellphones that need headset for it to work.
