i thought the prince of persia was also known as the devil. IN the game don't you steal, kill, and destroy just like the devil??

It's a freakin video game, end of story. Life is not an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and video games don't have hidden magical properties.

I would say yes. That's what the prince of persia was. He fought with the angels who were coming to minister to Daniel.
There is a relation some way for it to be named the same. I have not seen the game and know nothing about it. But the Bible tells us to keep away from such things.
1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
People allowing this to come into their home is why our nation and the world is in the shape it is in. People will let the devil in by saying "it is only a game" or "it's not real". Even Christians will allow this but it is not God's will.
Here is where the book of Daniel mentions this.

In the book of Daniel, Daniel was praying and praying and God sent him a messenger(angel), but he was delayed because he was in battle with the "Prince of Persia". Not necessarily the devil itself, but one of its minions-a "prince of the powers of the air". So, that is ONE game in particular that I will never buy.
Edit: The devil's minions work for him, with the same goals in mind. There is no such thing as a good demon. Demons, princes of the powers of the air, principalities-all have the same goal as the head of evil...To seek out to kill, steal, and destroy.

The prince of Persia is a demon with power over the territory of Persia - still at it today.

No. But the empire of Persia featured in the Book of Daniel; they were the good guys because they allowed the Jewish people to rebuild the temple.
