I work a 2nd shift job 1:30pm to 11pm. When should I feed my cat her wet food? before I go to work or when I come home? Would she be more active after eating or after a few hours and maybe a cat nap?

This is really up to you. What would work better for you time-wise? Remember that cats are creatures of habit, meaning you're cat will eventually expect to be fed wet food at that time every day.

In my experience, eating doesn't necessarily mean the cat will be more active or even napping. We have a cat who is a complete couch potato: he'll wake up, eat, and go back sleep usually.

It somewhat depends on the age of the animal also. A kitten may be much more hyper after a nap, but not necessarily an adult cat.

Hope this helps!

I've found that cats tend to be more active a while after they've eaten. On the other hand, it may just depend on the cat.

If I were you, I'd feed them at least twice per day. If you feed once before you leave (say around 1:00) then again when you get home, that should be fine. If you wanted to you could split it into 3 meals - if you're ever up early like around 6, you could feed some them.

I personally feed when I get up (5:30am) and when I get home (4:30pm).

My cats seem to take long morning naps after their breakfast and don't get more active when they have their dinner. So I don't think feeding at any time really gets them going at any great rate. My cats just have meat to eat.

I'd give her a bit of the wet before you go but put some dry there, too. and when you come home you can feed her the other half of the wet.

You'll probably want to give it to her before you go so she'll have a chance to burn it off.

Now- while wet food is nice, most cats don't really need it. My kitties haven't had wet food in all their little lives and in fact turned their noses up at it the one time I did offer it. The vet was impressed that their teeth were in such good shape.

You can, if you like cleaning up after diarrhea poop. I would suggest canned tuna fish. It seems to work for my two cats.
