To generalize, and label Christians as hate-mongers, then spew hatred toward them when they ask a sincere question? To blame today's Christians for atrocities that happened hundreds, or even thousands of years ago, by people who abused the name of Christ? To judge us because of what Hitler or Roman Catholics, or the KKK did, twisting meanings of the Holy Scriptures, and using it to manipulate, mistreat and murder people? Persecutions will come, and we know that. Especially when we neither would have supported nor condoned such aberrant behavior. But we listen when you say we're judgmental and pushy. We, or at least I, haven't called you whiners or asked you to grow up when you feel mistreated by one of us. If we did the same, you'd jump all over us. Yet you feel free to do these things to us. Is this hypocritical?

I don't know, but in some responses to a question I posed yesterday, trying to get to the core of where atheists say morality comes from, I was informed that nearly all, some even gave a percentage, mass murderers were religious. So basically, just because someone claims to act on behalf of a deity they are religious, regardless of what their actions are. I found that quite interesting. They referred to Hitler, who did not, at any time, claim to act out of sense of religion, but rather of genealogy, a science. I intend to do some research into this claim. They cannot be blamed, however, because they simply don't know that "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, that you have love one for another." What a man claims to believe is far less important than how he shows what he believes. I can claim all day that I believe something, but if I don't live like I believe it, it's a good bet that I don't, all claims to the contrary.

No.
Because those people you speak of as well as all those to come will be received in his name and maybe not you but maybe you also will follow with religious fervor. People of differing beliefs are persecuted all the time in America.
Ask a pagan why they do not join in religious discussions at work sometime. Or why they hide still their beliefs? Ask why the only outlet for them is an anonymous forum?
Christians persecute others in this country and call it an attempt to bring America back to god. That statement always means YOUR version of god and everyone else needs to conform to that version.
If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.

Thanks bro, that's so right I believe! It is like condemning a child for the crimes of his father. People seam to mix things up with the past history of the roman catholic church and the true christians. The true christians were not the ones doing the killings, but they were the ones being killed by the RC church and other churches. Remember that what Hitler did, it was all signed for and approved by the catholic church... And the roman catholic church IS NOT CHRISTIAN but wrather the greatest satan church in the univers.

It's very hypocritical to gerenalize and not only hypocritical,
but CHILDISH.
WE ARE ALL HYPOCRITS in one way or another!
WE ARE ALL GUILTY - as the bible says we are!
The first sin was serving SELF - we are all guilty of that!
The fact is, we can't "point fingers" at all!
It' true, only a few will "get it" as the bible says.
Being humble is key, yet being humble means to
be humble before God as well as before others!
It is still our job, as Christians, to
1) Tell others God loves them.
2) Help others to be more and more virtuous/righteous/moral
before God and man!
Christians have not APPLIED the teachings well.
That is man's fault (all seek their own way and seek
to serve self - as the Bible says) - it's not God's fault!
Quit pointing fingers! It's very CHILDISH!

While blame is probably a bit strong, the memories of what unbridled self righteous religions can do in the name of their brand of belief must never be forgotten. That is why I get nervous when I see Ministers try to get their followers to put pressure on elected officials to force their will on the masses.

"The friend of my enemy is my enemy." As long as thinking, reasoning, christians do not speak out forcefully against those christians who are essentially the christian taliban then ALL christians can expect to be painted with the same brush. Just as all Muslims are being painted with the same brush because of the Muslim taliban.

Yes it is but....................
It is as it should be -- to bring on the endtime events.

However those the judge us for what Hitler, Catholics, KKK-- have done- prove their ignorance- by assuming these people Represent God- If they REALLY knew anything about who God truly is.. They would see the error they make- but BY CHOICE they choose to be ignorant. (Brainwashed by satan)

What baffles me is that after all these years, Christians still follow a faith that DID order war, bloodshed, and torture to millions of people. Where is your historic pride in that?
