Cats dont like these things: Double stick tape on thier paws (you could try that on the tv, pc, wires?) , they also dont like plastic bags or any plastic(noise), aluminum foil(noise). Dont yell at them, squirt them with water, hit them please they dont know whats wrong or what they did to deserve it. Hope i could be of some help :]

If you are concerned about them chewing on wires, you can get a product called Bitter Apple and coat the objects to stop them from chewing. For TV's, they will like the warmth so that becomes almost a futile endeavor. If they get on the desk next to the computer while you are using it, take them down while saying NO.

But cats jump and get onto things. Giving them a cat tree will give them something to climb on, and they usually also have scratching surfaces.

There are motion alarms that you can use to protect counters, etc., but a usual approach is to use a squirt bottle and say NO. But you have to do it while they are doing it, since they do not have long term memories. Most cats hate water, so you just need a quick squirt.

My cat does that too. Cats are jealus from those stuff cause they think that you spend more time with tv, pc etc. and dont have time to play with your own cat so that makes the cat mad then your cat will stand on ur keyboard sleep on it sleep on your gameboy blocks the screen, he/she will do anything for you just to play with him/her.So when you see your cats doing those things you better hurry and play with him/her.

Dont worry he/she will not run away from home.

I had alot of cats and they did the same thing. Once they were playing with the wires and one of them got shocked so the other cats so him and now they didnt go there again.

So you need to put a smell on that place (take it from a vet) that wont let them get near that place.

Hope That helped ;p

Visit your local pet store or bookseller to find a cat care book. You should have actually done this before getting your cats since most books will tell you what to do, like getting wires off the floor, before bringing the cat home.

Otherwise, you're going to need to actually supervise your cats. When you see them doing something they're not supposed to be, I would suggest saying "no" in a firm voice (no need to yell) and clapping your hands loudly. The noise from clapping yours hands is a method of deterring your cat from doing certain things. Check your local electronics store for tubing or other things that will cover power cords etc. Whatever you do, don't hit the cat; you'll just end up with a resentful and aggressive cat.

You also need to play and interact with your cats. Bored cats can become destructive cats.

training, tell her in alow voice that she is doiing the wrong thing, take her off and dont pay any attention to her for a good 10 min, she will learn. Also put vineger in that spot, she wont like the smell or Cats HATE the smell of mint, and it's nice and refreshing to is.

using deep harsh tones and pointing to the floor, keep your commands constatant if they don't listen pick them up and put them on the floor ignoring them. if they keep doing it repeat the deep voice saying eg get down, and point to the floor and continue. done long enough when they try again all u need do is begin to say the word or point and they scurry away they know they are going to be fraughted in their attempts. hope that helps it's what i did with my cat. good luck

keep them out of the room.... or if they are in the room watch them to make sure they are not biting anything. my cat bites wires all the time they do it to make their teeth stronger... he bit my cell phone charger like 4 times already not i just put the charger where he cant reach it.

I normally wouldn't hit my cats. But when teaching my present pair to leave cords alone, they got swatted and yelled at a lot. And cuddled when they were being good. It worked.

my bf has a problem with his cats. they always chew the wires. he just bought some kind of spray for animals to stay away from places you don't want them near. i think its called fooey or flooey. its a weird name. i haven't heard him complaining recently. it may be working.
