Are atheists smarter than Christians?

Drives me crazy.

You think if they were as smart as they claim to be they'd see that this question has already been asked five thousand times.

Oh, there are SO MANY. Do I HAVE to choose just one?

From the Christian side, I'm tired of the "if we evolved from monkeys" questions, as well as the "why are atheists here" questions.

From the atheist side, I'm sick to DEATH of the questions that are a direct plagiarism of the ideas in Zeitgeist and "The God Delusion" without giving them credit, and then while insisting that Christians can't think for themselves.

I'm tired of the stupidity and the hypocrisy.

There are lots of good Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Wiccans and pagans on this site, don't get me wrong. And they more than make up for the stupid people.

I'm also tired of all the misinformation that's out there. I'm half thinking of writing a blog about it, and then referring to it in answer to questions that are from ridiculously misinformed people.

Any question or answer that involves a misunderstanding of what a scientific theory is, i.e. "it's just a theory."

In scientific terms, a hypothesis is the equivalent of a theory in layman's terms (though generally an educated guess). A theory has graduated from a hypothesis once evidence has been found to support it.

I think it's "Why are Christians so judgmental?" I'm a Christian, and perfection is not a word you could use to describe me. However, I find it interesting that being a Christian, I have been judged already by the person asking that question.

#1. How can you believe in a God that you can't prove exists?/ Prove God exists?
--It's called Faith.
#2. Why is the Bible full of contradictions?
--It not, The reason some see contradictions is because they lack understanding of The Bible in it's entirety.
(So many more, but those are probably top 2.)

Do you think Jesus is coming soon? I do.

Anything that is blasphemous immediately has me seething, and sometimes I cringe with fear for the sake of person who posted it. Apart from that I honestly can't see the point...
