I am throwing my son's first birthday party and i want to do the sesame street theme. I need some real good characters (not cheesy looking) to come and entertain. I live in the Pennslyvania, philadelphia area. Can someone help me?????? Affordable price as well

It is sweet that you want to throw such a nice birthday for your child. But your little one is prime age for not being so into characters. Even if he sees them every day on TV, that doesn't mean he will think it is so cool in person. The size may scare him and your idea may backfire.

I would instead spend the money on bubbles, balloons (mylar only 1 year olds can choke on latex balloons) or the most amazing Sesame Street cake. Or even save the money and spend it on something like that when he is 5 or 6. One year olds are happiest with an empty box and he will be overwhelmed enough by people and presents.

If you are really "set" on having characters from sesame street at the party have a friend/relative rent a costume from a local costume shop and rent it for the day.. However, at that age seeing a huge character would scare the dickens out of most kids... Good luck

I don't know where you could find them, but try putting up a poster looking for them, or even an ad in the paper. Good luck!
