why alibata not used as a primary handwriting alphabet in the philippines?

other asian nation primarily uses thier native handwriting alphabet, why we can't(read: did not) do that.

Because Spaniards imposed the Latin alphabet. It was easier for them just to write that way. I like Baybayin, by the way.
