How could he possibly be African American when those people didn't even know that North America existed. He may have been a person of color. I would say that most likely he was not white, but that doesn't mean that he was black. He most likely resembled the people that live in that region today, but the only African Americans on the planet live in the USA.
I don't know what ignoran biblical scholar you are referring too. I don't think anyone who determines that Jesus was African American should be considered a scholar. He wasn't American and he certainly wasn't African.

Hey Dude,
Sorry to bust your bubble, but America wasn't around when Jesus walked the Earth. No America means no African-American. Africa was called something else too then, so what exactly is the point you are trying to fake?.

What Biblical scholar is that? Al Sharpton?
Jesus was Semitic. He was from the family of Shem (Sem,hence Sem-itic)The family of Shem populated from present day Iran to Syria.Shem's brother Ham and his decendants populated Africa (Cush = Ethiopia,Somalia and Sudan, Mizraim = Egypt these were sons of Ham).Shems sons became the the Syrians and Assyrians as well as the Hebrews (Eber, the name becomes Hebrew)Therefore Jesus was a nice brown color.

Jesus was neither African-American nor Caucasian. He was Jewish. His mom was Jewish and He was born in the Jewish nation of Isreal. Who are these scholars who have concluded that he was African American?

Michaelanglo painted the sisteenth chapel and on that ceiling he painted Jesus as caucasian because he chose to paint Jesus in his likeness instead of the Biblical description in the Bible that says that he was JEWISH NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN, remember....not everyone in Africa is necessarily black ok? A lot of people come from Africa who are white, remember that England once owned Africa, so therefore not everyone in Africa is black and Jesus was not black ok? We was Jewish = olive colored skin, with hair like wool, rough hands from carpentry, he was about 5' to 5'4" tall and had broad shoulders and was very masculine and not at all feminine like you see in the paintings, its pays to do your homework, I hope this answer helps you, God bless.

No Bible scholars think of that Jesus became African-American. Africans did not come to the Americas, so some distance as all of us be conscious of, till the 1500s. The historic checklist says Jesus became a Jew, and maximum persons of Jews then and now have been White. this does not tutor he became White of direction; the modern sources did not evaluate his visual charm to be substantial sufficient to jot down down. Jesus has often been portrayed as White between those of eu descent because of the fact, for a protracted time, maximum followers of Jesus have been White. In Europe, he became portrayed as a eu, usually in eu clothing. In Ethiopia, Jesus became portrayed as gentle brown, lighter than the exterior of the Ethiopians. Ethiopia became the 1st united states to undertake Christianity as its expert faith, and that they have been close sufficient to the time and place of Jesus' ministry to be conscious of greater suitable than the later eu converts did. human beings from all areas of the international, now, portray Jesus as a member of their own human beings, to make it greater straightforward to narrate to him.
