I find it quite amusing when they call me an infidel, but I'm baffled as to how they can reconcile their superior attitude with their professed 'christianity.' Do you think they should learn some humility? They seem to think that everyone who doesn't agree with every point of their doctrine is going to 'burn in the lake of fire for all eternity........' It's really rather amusing.

Well, we are getting there, perfection is still far, feeling superior is a human characteristic, not a Christian one, just like pride, envy etc. We are not perfect, our weaknessess still show through and make us fall from time to time and overpower our good will, and we have to fight against them all the time. Please bear with us. After all, you seem to be sharing the same characteristics as the humans we all are. Our battle is more demanding of us, and we do not always win.

I have been called atheist, Muslim, Satan, pagan, catholic, christian, among other more color full names simply because I point out what the bible says -v- what they believe it to say. I point out the Calvinism contained within "revealed" religion, or the face the Pilgrims did NOT found the USA but men who were free thinkers did.
I think they need to look beyond what the learned in 3rd grade and Sunday school class, research a little and form opinions based on fact and not lies told to them 20 or 30 years ago (at least those who are above the age of consent).
Not all Christians are like this but a whole lot on here are.

That is amazing to me to. Christian means a follower of Jesus Christ. They in answer said the LDS, Saturday adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses were not Christian.
That is so false, I was always told they did not believe in Jesus Nothing could be farther from the truth. They told me they believe Jesus Christ will rule the world shortly and destroy those who are wicked people and those who do not accept Jesus as the king in this kingdom.
There is a lot of misinformation out there about lot's of religions. The Lutherans for example, the one in North Dakota is very different than the one in the Southern states.
It is almost like two different religions. I was suprised about that. So there are lots of things we don't know about other religions that they say is common knowledge. But that common knowledge is wrong.

infidel is one who does not believe .Yes it is true that people other than the christians do not believe god as the ghost of a man killed on the cross .The very same man before he was taken by the Roman guards under the orders of the governor prayed to god uttering the words "Eli , eli, lama sabachthani?" meaning My god , my god why did you forsake me?. . Here was a man who was afraid of death and did not know why god forsook him and prayed to god in desperation and could not do any miracle to escape from death. It was his disciples who deserted him at the crucial moment of being taken away by the Roman guards and who lied to the Roamn guards that they did not know jesus christ because of fear of punishment , who later made him a god stating reeling out so many hings of mircles etc .Jesus has not said anything directly about himself . It is the gospel of his disciples who were liers that has been made in to the Bible with the contradictions having been removed by somany attempts .You have a lot of different version of the Bible of the same god!It s all the statement of witnesses who were proven liers evenaccording to the Bible itself and not a single evidence or proof or efn a statement of any independent withnes sis there to corroboate all that the diciples are reported to have said .
The christians who claim jesus was a man of peace ,spread the religion by force and on point of sword in the name of holy crushade ,That is proof enough that they themselves did not belie in the religion. They set the trend for Islam to use force for the conversion of the whole world to Islam. The christians retired god and replaced him by Jesus and Muhammed retired Jesus to the division bench of the High court of God and usurped his positon with the use of violence!
Both these people had their ways of violence in the medieval periods when might was right and now they are unable to have their way all over the world and are creating enemies by their old style of behaviour .It is time they chgange .and respect others too.

For the same reason ANYONE is judgmental. Some people are jealous, insecure, ignorant, racist, or otherwise stupid and prejudiced. Considering how many Christians are NOT like this, and how many NON-Christians are the same way, what makes your stereotyping of Christians any different? But I don't mean that to put you down. Obviously you are posting this in reaction to your experiences, and there certainly ARE Christians out there who act like this. My point is simply this: stereotyping is not the answer to this problem. Atheists come on here and insult Christians. Other religions come on here and insult Christians and atheists. They all use stereotypes to "prove" their point. It is a viscious cycle. It stops when the rest of us stop feeding the fire with our own stereotypes.

I fully agree with you. The christians think they are the only religion and their god is the only god. Dont blame them
I was a christian so I know very well. There is one more I want to tell you, among christians they have difference of opinion as to who is a real christian that is who are the real children of jesus and they fight among themselves about it.
Now you be judgemental and see how kiddish they are.

Some of those 'Christians' don't know or forget that we are to be kind and not to judge others. It gives a bad image to those who bid everyone well.
Also note in your answers that it happens on both sides of the fence.
Peace!

Christians don't call you "infidel." That term is generally used by Muslims for non-believers.
As for why some "Christians" are judgmental, why not ask why "People" are? There are judmental Christians, Atheists, Agnostics, Muslims, Wiccans etc ...
