Ok,so I was watching an Original power rangers episode yesterday and I was wondering why everytime the power rangers get hit with a pointy object,it just gives off sparks, shouldn't there be blood seeing as how thin their suits are?And I know alot of people are going to say that it's because they don't want children to see blood, but what about all the fighting? So yea,my question is why don't they bleed!!!?

I think it actually had something to do with the original Japanese footage (the American show used the "morphed" Japanese footage to save money). If you look closely you can tell that the actions don't ever seem to match the lines just right. And sometimes the speakers rush their words to make sure they don't over-speak the Japanese shots. That's my opinion anyway.

And that was a blast from the past... Babysitting my Power Ranger obsessed cousins... Lol!

This is because they are "power" rangers.

When they accepted the power crystals, they transformed. When they are in their "Ranger" form, they are protected by personal power shields that act like the deflectors on Star Trek.

When ordinary weapons hit the shield, the Ranger feels the impact, but not the sharpness. Kind of like shooting at a bullet-proof vest.

I have to agree with Cate,it wasn't in buget so they "borrowed" from their orginal side. I just wished the older ones didn't have the heads moving so wildy, that really messes with your eyes. They still "borrow" now and then form them still in the newer ones but at least some of its starting to match up (at least ones I have watched are).

Oh and Mr. Eko, Jason (Austin) still lives, he went to the power ranger convention. Trini (Thuy) is the one who passed away (bless her soul).

From what I know of it...the sparks is because part of their "power" is a shield around themselves which is the cause of the sparks when hit

Well it's really because blood wouldn't be acceptable in a mid 90's children show.

i often find myself wondering the same question untill i came up with this solution there suits arent just fabric they're a special alloy of metals resulting in an exteemly tough yet elastic metal which is why the sparks fly off it.
