After every couple of hours stop somewhere and walk for a while. Atleast i do the same when on a long drive.

Do what the first answerer suggested. Take a break every couple hours and stretch your legs. When I have to drive long distances, I sit on a thin pillow. Helps the tailbone.

I agree with the other answers , stop periodically and walk around. Once you reach your destination take a hot bath and soak for 30 minutes. That will help relieve the pain.

Whenever I go on lone car trips, I go to the Chiropractor for an adjustment, it helps me. I have back problems. I hope that helps.
