In Al Kafi Book by the great Kelliny; part 3 - Hadith 652 "My companions are like stars, whomsoever of them you choose to guide you, will guide you"... By Muhammad Peace and Blessings be upon him, Narrated Ali Ibn Abi Talib - كرم الله وجهه.

Is it proper for Muslims to hate any companion of the peophet after this Hadith? Is it proper for a Muslim to ahte another Muslim whom he never met? And if the problem between you and your brothers of the Sunna is your hatred to Omar, Abubakr, and other comapnions, can't we forget all that and show respect to each others beloved companions in order to be better Muslims?

Brother Ishfaq, it's great to be strict regarding your beliefs, but it's more great to call for others to "Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way." 16:125 the Holy Quran.

I love Shia.

It is not proper for Muslim to hate companion. No, it not proper for Muslim to ahte another Muslim whom he never met. Muslims are brothers and must make love not war.

Show respect to family of Prophet, Lawrence!
Be a good Muslim.

It is not proper for a Muslim to hate fullstop! Regardless what certain groups are preaching, our religion is about peace and maintaining it! That is the way that millions of muslims are persuing their lives, i.e. the radical ones are a minority compared to the others, however, the radical ones cause us all the problems!

Yes, we should forget about things like you wrote and try to be better muslims!

this division was created after the prophets death so in my opinion, its stupid and we shouldn't bother. Just do good, think good, speak good, belive in God, give love and you'll be a good muslim and a good human being. God would never tell us to hate someone.

May Allah thanks you brother! I agree that all of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), including his family are included in that Hadith. And all of them followed the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sunnah :-) Allah knows best!
