Well if you two really don't care about anything fancy then you can go to city hall and get it done there. But if you want something a little more memorable save up for awhile.

200 what? Have to presume you mean £200? Yes it can be done if you are really, really desperate to get married this way. Means you wear your usual clothes, no flowers, no meal,no invitations, cars, pull in 2 people to witness etc etc etc. Sounds like you can have a civil wedding just and no more but if that's what you want you can do it. However, you have to ask yourself if that amount is all you can manage how are the 2 of you going to live? Remember the saying "One cannot live on love alone" Best wishes.

Well to give your Notice of Intent its £30 each and to get married in registry office its between £40-£50 depending on where you live (mine was £43.50 in Bristol). And as long as you dont have photographers, cars, fancy reception or expensive clothes - then yes it can be done.
I really think some people above me are being a bit harsh, why does spending lots of money equal a good wedding. It doesnt matter that you cant afford it.
You are supposed to get married because you love each other. That day is about have a marriage - not a wedding!

Yes just take your time, and use you money wisely. nothing has to be expencive depending on how you want your wedding to go but 200 aint alot and if your expecting a church wedding think again, but if you dont want the full wedding day blowout, find a minister and get married. that will cost 200!

Of course it can, if that is what you want to do and all you can afford and live in the UK:-
Giving notice of marriage £30each
Registry office ceremony £40
Marriage Certificate £3.50
Total £103.50
A cheap ring from Argos for the bride £11.99
A bunch of flowers from Tesco £2.99
Don't invite guests - get witnesses from off the street and use what is left for a nice meal somewhere not too expensive

I don't know where people get £300 for the "Registrar"? It should cost no more than £100 for the "Notice of Intent" to be displayed and the wedding ceremony. You don't need to buy anything except a ring (£30 from Argos) as you both just need to wear something smart. Get two bunches of flowers from Tesco (one for the bride and one to behead and use as button holes). Only invite close friends and use a mini cab to get to the Registrar. You are looking at around £150 total, so you can buy the first round of drinks at a local pub and save enough to get a chinese takeaway. Just hope that the presents that you receive are not as cheap and tacky as your wedding LOL

200 what? 200 dollars? 200 thousand dollars? You're going to have to be much more specific.

I'd probably use that £200 for English tuition.
