"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

It is not religion that is the root of all evil, any more than it is money that is the root of all evil. It is the Love of Religion that is the root of all evil, just as it is the Love of Money that is the root of all evil.
the Love of anything to the exclusion of all else, seems to cause the problems in the world. the Love of Liverpool Football club amounst the fans who clash with those who have the Love of Arsenal Football club. The Love of Christianity vs the Love of Islam. The Love of the US vs the Love of any other country.
Wars get fought over the Love of one thing over the Love of another. Get rid of that Love and surely the world would be a better place.

Heard a marvelous quote last nite. On an (The Australian) ABC religion show.
The fault is not with religion but with it's worshipers.
The notion of faith has positives. & not just as a method of socio-spritual control. (Napoeon's "Religion stops the poor from murdering the rich"). The strength of faith, the positves the benifits of hope & +ve thinking needs to be balanced with those (few) who using religion to justify hate, bigotry & violence.

Non religious people who have no God, who do not believe in God and who do not believe the teachings of God in the bible are the root of all evil or bad things happenning within the community. They are on the dark side following the wrong path.
People who are in religious category follows the teachings of God in the bible and have fare to God, so they fear to make bad deeds but instead good deads.

I suppose the religious people forced the communists to kill 100 million people? The communists were atheists trying to wipe out religion, so I guess if there were no religious people then the communists would have had no reason to kill them.

Wow?, good luck with that!!!....
I wouldn't go that route, myself... because it is not religion that's the problem. The evil is within individual man. He is the one who has expounded on and formed religion...... There is no such thing as a religion creating itself.... Blame man.... whomever he is.....
