I like him but it has been 7 years since I dated and that was when I was in high school. I would go out with him if he asked me to.

Well, that is a little young, but it would depend on his bearing and whether or not he could carry himself well with you on a date. You know him better than any of us, so you'd have to assess this one. Generally speaking, the age difference from 19 to 26 can be broad, but not insurmountable, and he is employed so it sounds like he's a responsible young man. Thumbs up there!

The fact that he is "afraid" to ask you out with be something of a negative, because a confident seven years younger man is always better than a frightened seven years younger man. Still, if he can carry a conversation, is intelligent and mature, I'd at least go out on a date or two. If it doesn't work out, then you've had a few dates. If it does, well then, 'nuff said. :)

Age is the least of the problems. Ask yourself if you will be willing to give him a chance. Your personalities might or might not match, which is the biggest issue here. So I believe the only thing to do is wait until some kind of date is set-up, if you wish, to get to know him better. Tell your friend to tell this guy that he needs to step it up and ask you out on his own.

Hey, my last girlfriend was 36 and I'm 24. We broke up but it had nothing to do with age. I say go for it but be cautious. My parents have an 8 year difference and they have made it 25 years. I say if its meant to be youll know it and if not, your no worse off than before.

if the attraction is real age shouldn't matter, although be careful he should be more mature and not you more immature..in the end it only matters as much as the two of you let it no one else should have a say..and if they do then maybe its not a good idea
