The American Badminton Association recommends a ground space of about 1620 square feet for a badminton court size. The Singles badminton court is 17’ X 44’ whereas a doubles court is 20’ X 44’. There should be a minimum 5’ unobstructed area on all sides of the badminton court. The specifications for the badminton court net are that it should have a mesh of not less than 15 mm and not more than 20 mm. The net must be at least 6.1 meters wide.
Indoor volleyball courts are the same size for the FIVB, USAV, CVBA and most sanctioning bodies - 18m x 9m (29'6" x 59'). Indoor courts also have an attack line that runs parallel and 3m (9'10") behind the center court line. Line widths are 5 cm (2") wide. Some beach courts are slightly larger measuring 30 feet by 60 feet. However, in 2001 FIVB and soon after the AVP shortened the doubles beach court to 16m x 8m.

44/20, in feet, is the standard badminton court! (for ball badminton, the court is larger, of course!)
