It is real. It's a condition called anecephaly, it is a failure of the neural tube to close correctly during embryogenesis, they rarely live out of the womb, usuallly termininating early in the first trimester. In the video the child is NOT alive, it had died an hour before which is why it doesn't move in the video

I have no idea if this is real and I'm not sure it's anecephaly either?

My close friend was pregnant with twins and one twin was diagnosed with anecephaly. Because the other twin was healthy my friend decided to take her babies to full term even though she knew that the effected twin would not survive after birth.

I have photos of darling baby Ben who survived a short time after birth and he certainly didn't look anything like this video. Other than the fact that his scull was not formed at the back he looked quite normal.

And his gorgeous sister is now over 1 year old and has been perfect from the time she was born.

I worked with a girl whose child may have had this condition. By the wikipedia description, it sounds like what she said her baby had. She had to have the baby removed, as it would have been still born. It was a very sad situation. She said that she had no clue she was pregnant and b/c she didn't know she didn't take prenatal vitamins. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or not, but she previously had a very healthy baby boy who is now 2. Sooo sad....

What a nightmare for the parents. First, to give birth to a deformed baby who died, and second to have it broadcast internationally for everyone to see. I feel so sorry for them.

Here's a link with pictures and an explanation of the condition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anencephaly.

This is why it's so important for women to take folic acid if there's a chance they might get pregnant.

What do you recommend deformed? As in clubbed ft, or something else. many stuff might reason this, in spite of the fact that if the mummy does each little thing completely. My ultimate buddy in basic terms had a woman newborn, and did each little thing she replaced into assume to do, and not something she wasn't. Her toddler replaced into born with micro, meaning that the little ones head is smaller than time-honored. the reason that the toddler have been given it somewhat is because of the fact the mummy gotten smaller CMV for the duration of her being pregnant for the 1st time. all and sundry gets CMV formerly the age of 40, yet while gotten smaller for the duration of being pregnant it somewhat is amazingly risky to the fetus. (CMV is particularly like the chickenpox) as quickly as you get it, you always have it. it somewhat is in undemanding terms gotten smaller in it somewhat is "top"!! tell her good luck!

Yes it is real. Its a defect due to neural tube defects/anencephaly. It occurs early on in the developmental stage when lack of vitamens such as Folic Acid cause defects. It is always advisable to start prenatal vitamens before trying to become pregnant.
