I think that this is the best answer... Quoted from gotquestions.org... "The short answer to the question “why did God create us?” is “for His pleasure.” Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Colossians 1:16 reiterates the point: “All things were created by Him and for Him.” and the second answer to the question what does he expect us to accomplish. I believe that God wants us to worship and serve him. Then sin came in and drew us further and further away from him.

God brought about creation because He was feeling alone and so He decided to express His immense creativity skills. Therefore He created the Heavens and the Earth.
As the Earth then was without form and without light, He created light and so also all things afterwards, included human beings as His favorite beings, so that they should love Him and populate the World for Him, in His holy name.
God expects us to love and adore Him and to populate the World for Him.

Mankind is the crown jewel in God's creation. I believe man was made so God could have someone after his own image to fellowship with. To show him/her things . Pretty much like we do with our children. We hope that they learn right from wrong, learn how to love us and respect us. We hope our children grow up in our image, desiring the good things in life.

In the long term, maybe to populate his created universe. But we have to learn to look after the earth first.
We are not doing to good a job at the moment.
(Revelation 11:18) But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

I'm sure he wonders that as well, as I can't believe we've turned out how he envisioned.

I don't know now, but I have faith in that believing His cause is just and following His path of goodness that I should know the reason after death.
It's a little "wordy" so I hope that makes sense to you.

There are no Invisible Sky Critters and the only reason we are here is to procreate.
If we want a deeper meaning to our lives we can always make it up; we have a vivid imagination - after all, we created god in our image.

I'm not sure, but I'd like to know what sort of accomplishment small children have made when they're lives are taken. Religion still can't explain that one.

I think He just wanted to see how well we'd get along. We're not doing so well, are we?

How can we maintain our sense of urgency? We have already seen the importance of prayer and the need for keeping in mind Jehovah’s day. In addition, Paul mentions three vital qualities that we should cultivate. He says: “As for us who belong to the day, let us keep our senses and have on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet the hope of salvation.” (1 Thessalonians 5:8) Let us consider briefly the role of faith, hope, and love in our keeping spiritually awake.
