why do people dislike church these days?

I thought like back in the 50's people went to church. Do you think our morals are declining?

Sadly it is not morals declining but church members becoming more extreme and driving good Christians out.

A lot of churches are now made up of extremists and ideologues who really are not Christian in their outlook or behaviour at all. Hell and damnation and absolute fundamentalism is a terrible ego driven man thing and nothing to do with God, Christianity or worship.

So many good Christians who believe in a loving, inclusive and forgiving God are now forced to worship outside of the church.

If Jesus returned to his temple today it would not be tables he overturned but bigots he would throw out.

There are alot of Spirit Filled Church's, and on the other hand alot of dead churchs in the world, pray to find the right one, because being in a church that does not teach the word in its entirety is dry and meaningless, but in a spirit filled church you will truly find the annointing, alot of people don't know this, and need to pray for guidance to the Church God would have them attend. Yes, it does seem that our morals are declining, put if we pray for the USA, and turn from our wicked ways the bible says God will restore our land.

David M does have a point. Most of us Christians say that the biggest obstacle we have in bringing people to Christianity is other Christians.

I also think you are correct and our morals are declining.

No one wants to be inconvenienced anymore either. It is too inconvenient to get up on Sunday and get dressed and go to church.

People don't like the truth.. no one wants to think what they are doing is a sin or morally wrong.. so yes I think on a whole America, while being the greatest country on earth in my opinion.. is declining rapidly as far as morals go...
