not trouble, exactly, but yes!

a few years ago, i had a friend who was with this guy who was the sort of person your mum warned you about ... anyway, it was bad enough she was with him, she was hiding it from her parents. one day, she told her parents she was at my place, and they called me around nine in the evening and asked where she was, and i told them i hadn't seen her all day (she hadn;t told me she was lying!).

it turned out she was at some pub with him (they were sixteen years old!), so i was furious -- her parents were so upset, they were on the verge of calling the police!

another friend of mine came with me to her parents house the next day, and we told them the truth. we aren't friends anymore, but at least now, she's safe. i'd rather her be angry with me than be -- i don't even want to think about it!

Yes, I have. I think everyone has, because so many people are either ungrateful, suspicious or both.

I was in a store one day and saw a woman my dad knew grab something and leave without paying for it. (The woman in question was a crack addict and a prostitute. No, my dad wasn't one of her customers; he was trying to help her get out of that lifestyle. But that's his "getting in trouble for doing the right thing" story.) I alerted the manager about it and the manager accused me of being an accomplice! He told me that he should call the police and have me arrested, but they'd probably not be able to prove anything, so why bother? He then glared at me and walked away, saying that he'd be watching me like a hawk if I were "dumb enough" to come back. I told him to go ahead! He'd be wasting his time because I don't steal and I've nothing to hide. I didn't go back there anyway because I didn't appreciate the way he treated me, a paying customer.

The incident taught me a lesson, though. A store's security is not my responsibility. If their cameras, theft detection devices and employees don't catch someone stealing, tough. I've seen now that if a store can't catch the real thief, they'll pin the blame on whoever comes to their attention first--usually the person who brings the theft to light. I'll never place myself in that position again.

Yes. Sometimes the result can be a pain or because people don't like or won't accept the truth or the consequences. But it fact it feels so good. It's really supports the self-esteem.

YES, I found a hundred dollar bill once. It wasn't mine and I didn't feel right about keeping it. So, without saying how much I found I went around asking people if they lost any money and how much? This went on for almost 3 weeks and no one claimed it. Someone found out how much it was and then claimed it and went around telling people that I stole it from them. I was very hurt and angry over that whole ordeal and I almost lost my secretary job over that!

relies upon how old they're. My 2 yearr old tried to flush the full roll of loo paper down the lavatory. as quickly as her toddler necessary a shower... under no circumstances had to call a plumber regardless of the indisputable fact that. Now as they become old and that i think of of the failings they might flush down the lavatory, yea , then they might get in lots of difficulty.

Yes. People don't always like the truth.

yes, one of my best friends at my old job was gay. Another co-worker came up and was telling a new co-worker that he was gay and I overheard and stuck up for my gay friend saying they didn't need to discussing it and it wasn't something to gossip about. I was later written up for being involved in the discussion of another person's sexuality. Go figure.

Haha.
Yes, sadly.
I've lost friends.
I figured...do the right
thing for ME and that's all
that matters. It sounds harsh,
but it's the way it should be.
