The currency in the markets come from the sale of strategic public property to suspicious foreign investors and foreigns who have entered the stock exchange market for short term profits. Our debts soar, we donot have enough long term investment to help pay them back, unemployment is still very high, the unemployed have lost their hope for a job, import has risen more than export and Turkey is one of the biggest bubbles the world has seen, and big brother is helping us inflate that bubble even more, and they are using this mechanism as a threat in our foreign policy that we donot have: You choose what we want you to choose, else we will burst your bubble and your economy will go down the drain.
So, we, as a people, vote for a person who the US didn't choose to send down the drain just yet, if you get my drift.
Meanwhile, the education system has already gone down the drain, the universities struggle to hold on, people keep on killing their daughters because they escaped from abusive husbands and hope for the future looks dimmer and dimmer, but who cares, our economy is soooo bright, isn't it?
Oh, how happy and priviliged I feel.

Having done business in Turkey, Turkey's economy is precarious at best. Turkey can not be everything to everybody.
Turkey lacks basic investment in infrastructure, power plants, water purification, roads, and transportation hubs.
Turkey has to walk softly, in order to appease the EU for entry. What happens to this wonderful growth you say exists and predict, when EU entry is finally allowed or revoked. More than 50% of exports go to EU.
Will the executive branch be able to control it's military.
Prosperity in Turkey is being clouded by foreign investment. Who are not there to do waht is best for Turkey they are there to benifit from a growing county.
These are the days of globalization, unfortunitly it takes a harmonious country with the majority of the population seeing the benefits to truly prosper.
There has to be solidarity within it's population to reap the benefits and bestow on Turkey what it deserves.
You of course did not mention an external debt of over 220 billion US dollars.
BTW, Arcelik just bought Chinese washing machine maker

You remind me "Tayyip in the Ulusa SesleniÅ".
Do not believe the nonsense "export exploded" news, its a great lie. Türkiye is still not enough in production and exportation, even we are the best importer in Europe and thats not good.
Todays economy is normal as a "state of America".

reciprocity (mütekabiliyet,i found this word in the dictionary) is a must in foreign relations.I'm afraid we don't have it with US and especially with EU.I find this dishonorable
Talat already explains the whole situation in a very good manner.
