Not true I am agnostic and I am friends with atheists. We don't only persecute christians. But here in the west christians are the biggest religion so we talk more towards it. And if you actually read up on Buddhism you would know Buddah is not a "god" he is the originator of the religion and the first that is know to reach "nirvana" and reach spiritual enlightenment.

There are two major proselytizing religions: Christianity and Islam. They both get slammed a good bit here by the atheists, but you have probably not spent a lot of time looking at the Muslim questions. The other religions do not push conversion, and so atheists don't bother them so much. But they do say things like "exchanging one delusion for another" to people who talk about becoming Wiccan or Buddhist, and so on.

What point would an atheist have to speak about the quran or zen budhism in a conversation with a christian? sure, I can think of some, but most people would stick to their points regarding why they don't appreciate your particular faith being shoved down their throats as unquestionable fact.
Also, it's important to be aware that many atheists, or non-theists meditate & focus on inner-knowledge & wisdom regarding the world on a whole, and understanding human nature in a more scientific & humanistic manner. Many of these things can be found muddled with the hocus-pocus & parables of the world religions, and can be very useful for people of any or no faith.

It is a simple matter of where you live. You live in a country that is predominately Christian...so therefore our society has a distinctly Christian bent to it.
What good would it do to talk about Islam in a country where only 5% of the people are Islamic and 80+% are Christian?

perhaps Christians receive more persecution from athiests because there are more athiests in so called Christian countries and because Christians seem to have the biggest problem with athiests. As an athiest, I think that all organised religions exists only as a way of controlling the thoughts and deeds of their adherents.

I.. don't. I don't lash out at anyone, I just justify my beliefs, or rather, my lack of beliefs. Generalization, as couple of people have said. How many atheists have you actually talked to? 5? 10? Because there are a lot more than that in the world.

Because Christianity is a religion filled with hatred and bigotry.
Allah is ment for peace but extremists don't see it so.
Christ wanted peace but now we have evangelicals.
Buddhism is truly peaceful.
I am still an atheist but honestly you Christian and Muslims need to stop bickering over Allah/god/Jesus w/e!
and get along.
bombing the Jews isn't right same with abortion centers.

No, it's just coincidence that most the people her eon R&S are Christian.
If a higher percentage of the posting population is Christian, then wouldn't it make sense that a higher percentage of the posts being 'persecuted' would be Christian?

First of all, buddah isn't a god and Muslims don't go pushing their beliefs like christians do. and I have no idea who christna is. So, I have no bias against christna. So you can't tell me I hate him.

Getting paranoid aren't we?
Most criticism on christianity can be used for islam and judaism, cause all of them believe in the ABRAHAMIC god and are virtually the same thing. Btw Buddha is no a god, and Hinduism is too far away for me to complain.
