Yes I do. I cannot explain in full why I believe so but I have had experiences that prove this (to me). Actually most people probably have they just need to know what to look for. It doesnt need to be some supernatural event. If I was GOD trying to send a message to my creation I would use my creation as my communincation tool...

I would like to, but I am not sure that I do. There are some things that do not make sense, like the fact that I suffer from depression and ED. It makes me wonder if there was a god, why would it do this to me? I see all the bad things in the world, from big to small, and wonder how anyone can have faith of a higher power. Where are all the miracles and burning bushes now? Why not give a sign as so many people have said has happened? I just don't see it. I see religion as a beautiful thing, something that can be good, but I do not believe there is one god, many gods or goddess, or even there is a higher power. If there was such a thing, why would there be suffering? Maybe there is one, but it truly just doesn't care about the world.

Yes - which makes me a little bit different from some other Agnostic Buddhists.
I believe that energy cannot be created nor destroyed (see Einstein E=MC2) and we are all made of energy (see beginners lessons in Quantum Physics) so when we die, our energy is not destroyed... it is simply moved around.
This can explain a whole host of "unexplainables" like God, ghosts, reincarnation, psychic abilities (see "Akashic Records") and perfectly coincides with both intelligent design and evolution at the same time.
You see, I don't think that just because we are in a state of slow evolution that it necessarily means that there was no "higher power" that flipped the light switch so to speak.
Personally, I think of myself as too intelligent to be constantly praying to "nothingness" all the time.
I also get a feeling of love and compassion after prayer and meditation that I can't explain with any word other than "God".

I used to question this when I was younger. I had so many bad things happen to me that there could not be any way that he existed. No possible way. I beleived that something had to invent the earth and make all this possible though right? I was raised christain and this was a hot topic in my house. It wasn't till I started to get pregnant that I really started questioning my faith. Was I wrong for not believing, would it hurt me in the future if I didn't, etc. I was trying to get pregnant and I was having problems getting prego. My friend who is a major beleiver, said I should ask god for it. So I did. Did it work, Nope. So another friend said the same thing, I said it didn't work what ever. She said did you tell him you were sorry for not beleiving in him and talk to him about your feelings. I said no because if he was real he would know what I felt. She said, he does know how you feel, but he needs you to tell him so you know exactly how you feel. I though well that is dumb, I know how I feel or I wouldn't be able to tell him. YEAH right. I went to bed and well my hubby and I did the deed. After wards I was laying there and I told god how I felt and that I was sorry and that I have a problem in believing in him. I said that if he could just make me prego I would know what I needed to do. It was heartfelt, I didn't just say it to say and I didn't reherse it either. I just said what I felt. I felt better and understood a little more. I remember this the next day and wrote this date on my calendar. Just to see. 4 weeks later I found out that I was prego and I was due 9 months from that date. Interesting right. I forgot about what I talked to god about because I was excited that I was prego. 1 year later, I got this card from a friend (whom I never told this too, I didn't tell anyone) it made mention that I am a great mom and friend and that I should thank god for my child for if it wasn't for god I wouldn't know love. It was at that moment. I felt so bad that I didn't keep up my part of the bargain. I still struggle but I do beleive.

No, I don't. There's no evidence of a god, and I'm not going to blindly follow something of which there is no evidence. If I tell you to jump off the Empire State building, because at the bottom you'll stop right before you die, would you have faith in me? No. Why not? Exactly.
Even if god did exist, he doesn't seem like a very nice fellow. Well, if he is a he. He could be a she. I mean, she could be.
He puts us on Earth as a test, and if we mess up once we go to a place of torture, burning and agony for eternity. Of course, if we blindly follow him like sheep, doing exactly as he says (which is impossible anyway, since there are so many contradictions in the Bible), we'll go to heaven and be rewarded. It's just silly. Heaven doesn't seem like a very interesting place, it's just full of people who couldn't live their life without guidance. Think of all the interesting atheists in hell!

I have been working on the very such thing you ask. The answer to that is yes. What I have found is that we all have a key to gods kingdom, each religion has a part. That part will be reveiled soon. With the findings I have, none will be able to deny these things either. Look towards the west, and the massive flood of information to hit the internet. The truth is apon us, the awakening.
As for your question-what has god done for? He has provided me years of secrecy-almost madness-but in the end, the proof which can not be no longer denied has been found.

With all my heart. I've gone through a few things that have shown me that God is indeed there listening and watching everything I say or do. The one time I knew he was there was when I was crying for days and days worried that I commited the "unforgivable sin". I was crying one day in my room and out of nowhere I opened this book about religion, and I just opened it to the page that said "Young girl why are you worried?" and it talked about how this girl thought she did the big unforgivable sin and how the fact that she was even worried meant that she didn't do it. And later on had a dream where Jesus said he wasn't mad at me. And just many other things that I can go on about that probably some people might think I'm crazy or something, lol.

No, I do not.
I am an atheist because I find it to be the most logical approach... I have studied every major world religion and many minor ones, and have found serious logical errors in all of them. I find no such necessary fallacies in atheism.
There are also many supporting reasons why I am an atheist. One of them is that there is no empirical proof of a god existing, let alone proof that it would be any specific god. I find it downright absurd to believe in something that does not seem to be there and cannot be proven to exist. I find it academically painful to appeal to subjective personal experiences as proof, or to any of a myriad of texts that have been based on hearsay and translated and edited many times over many years. Also, I am an atheist because of many arguments such as the one in my profile. Please read it; I think it will really help you understand my point of view.

I believe that I don't know whether he exists or not.
Punter, I admire the way you presented your beliefs. It was a refreshing argument.
As an agnostic, I view the idea of God with amazement and awe, but the the most beautiful thing about God is the simple mystery of his existence.

Well, when you say "God" I assume you mean the one that is defined by judeo-christian ideology. Humans have always sought out "something". I think it is necessary to be in touch with your "higher self" and have archetypical heroes. If not we would be as predacious as animals. You might try a study of comparative religons. I did and found myself and where I fit in. There is way more to this than what you can learn from the biblicists.

God did not create the Earth in 7 days, he did not create the earth in the last billion years, the universe is expanding, evolution is a fact, those reasons and more are why I don't believe in any religion that claims they or their prophets have spoke to god.
I believe that a god may exist, i don't think he gives a damn about us.
The only reason i think there is a god is because science has yet to explain the Big Bang, rather they can only explain so far (mathematically) micro seconds after the Big Bang!.
