I would be careful, you must remember clams and other bottom feeding creatures like this are the garbage cleaners of the lake and ocean floors. Whatever the take in and ingest, your going to get. Watch where you get them from, any polluted waters, etc?

Clams should be eaten during months with a R. May, June, July, and August have no Rs. And it depends where the clams were harvested, yet the Rs are important.

Absolutely NOT....don't you know the old legend of the fisherman who caught his july clam and choked on it!.....Just kidding, why wouldn't it be safe?

as long as it hasnt been left out overnight, it's okay. if it has, it's poisonous and you could die.
