Keep in mind that I never knew that citronella was a plant, I only thought it was a bug-repelling candle.

they can take sun however mine did best in morning sun and afternoon shade.they only need watering 2-3x a week and are a great bug repellant.their leaves are pretty cool looking too. i never knew they were a plant either until i was attracted to their leaves one day shopping in walmart and sure enough there i learned citronella was a plant. contrary to what the above person said, drought tolerant means they can handle drought which means they do not have to be watered every day.2x a week in well drained soil to 3 x a week in really hot places. i live in florida and 2-3x a week was sufficient and it did well in my garden.you can google the plant and find out more about it.
