I was at my house and my mom and step dad work all of the time so they are never home. I went out to go hang out with my friends adn my brother stayed home. No the thing about my brother is that he is really over protcetive so he hates it when i dont follow the rules. aHe thinks that because he is 16, 2 years older, he is the boss of me.Well..i was going to my friends party and i stayed there until it was almost my curfew, my curfew it 2:30am. well anyways I had to get a ride and i got home late at like maybe 4am. And he was feakign out. He turned teh sprinklers on me and i got so wet. He then gave me a huge lecture about responsibility. But the thin i <3 is that he didnt even call me. I had my cell, me sidekick 3, and he had my friends house #. Well anyways he told my mom and step dad and they told him to ground me, so now i cant do hang out with my friends for a week and i he took away my cell, sidekick 3, blackberry, ipod, and my laptop. I am about to snap. what do i do?

I'm sorry, your parents told your brother to ground you??? Hmmm That's very odd...Personally if you were my kid and you didn't show up by curfew...I would have hunted you down and drug you out of that house...I cant believe they were not worried about you...Says something about them and I'll leave it at that...I'm not here to be disrespectful to someone parents...
At least your brother is responsible....

First of all, it sounds like your brother, who actually cares so much, is making up for the loss of your parents love. A curfew of 2:30? A sidekick 3, blackberry, ipod, and a laptop? Sounds like your spoiled. How can you be mad with all that stuff PLUS a curfew of 2:30? You should be thankful! I can't even afford a 50 dollar guitar!
You're only 14! You have a curfew of 2:30! You have a brother who cares that much about you and your about to snap!?!?!?!
What do you think that says about you? I'll tell you. It says SPOILED *****! I'm sorry but anyone who acts like that and has all those things it just..... wow.
My guess is your a cheerleader? A popular girl? Pretty wealthy family? Yeah, then I guess spoiled ***** comes across you everyday. I don't need to feel sorry for you. It's the people like you that balence out this world. There's the little guy, who comes from a poor family and lives off Saltine's and hand-me-downs. Then there's "high society", the people with the major egos and live off Caviar and designer labeled clothes.
Hope I helped!
Tootles! ♥

Actually I would probably do the same thing. The reason that you have a curfew in the first place is so you wouldn't get hurt or in trouble. It is only to protect you. I thinkk i would be worry sick if you were my sister. I hope you realize that your brother wants to protect you and that tough love can be a good thing at times. I would feel the same way if I was you, but I would be alloud to stay out that late in the first place. I'm 16 and I don't even have a cerfew. Just try to stick with the rules. I promise you will thank him in the long run.

Its easy to hate your brother when he is rasing you. Thats your parents job and as usual slacker parents are leaving it up to somebody else, burying their head in the sand etc. Your curfew is 2:30am and your 14 where do you live that the city dosen't impose citywide curfews? But anyway even so you would think that your parents would want to know that you are home and safe and in bed like a 14 year old should be. You sound spoiled and your brother and least has enought common sense to know you should be home at a reasonable time and to tell your parents when you are messin up. He loves you give him a break. Stop trying to grow up so fast youll have plenty of time for that. Hopefully your parents will get a clue and start doing their job before you end up in real trouble.

Be thankful I'm not your mother because at 14:
You wouldn't have a cell phone
You wouldn't have a blackberry
You wouldn't have an ipod
You wouldn't have a laptop
You wouldn't have a 2:30am curfew
You would have a 9:30pm curfew
You would use the family computer
You would be grounded so bad... one week is a joke!
the fact that you aren't responsible enough to call if you're going to be late just makes my point... you're a baby playing grown up... and it's disgusting... almost as much so as parents who don't take care of their kids!
The person I feel sorry for is your brother....

wow, you really are near-sighted. just because you dont have your stupid electronic toys to play with doesnt mean its the end of the world! if you think you are so RESPONSIBLE maybe you should start growing up and own up to your actions!
You have your cell phone, so why did you stay out so late without telling someone? when it got to be around 1 am, did the thought even pass your mind that just MAYBE you should start heading home?! the curfew is there for a reason, its not there just to be unfair. you are only fourteen, you can't even DRIVE yet, so wat makes you think you can just go off on your own and do whatever you want? i got news for you. its only gonna get worse if you keep this up. if you want ANY privilages at all, you should act like a mature adult. once your brother/parents see that, then you can have all the fun you want. im not saying not to act your age, im just saying quit acting like you're all that and drop the act, bc it'll get you absolutly nowhere.

He is just doing what your parents asked him to do--you said it yourself. What should you do? I would say stop being an irresponsible little twit. Yeah I know it's not what you wanted to hear but, if you are going to violate your curfew, it sounds like you need to be disciplined. Responsibility is a good skill to have as an adult anyhow.
I don't blame your brother for being upset that you were two hours late. So suck it up and start learning to follow the rules. When you have learned that, then you can ask for leniency.

Well, you probably should have called home and said you were going to be late. And you know what else? I don't blame your brother for grounding you, even though that should be your parents job, not your underage brother's. But he just did that because he was worried about you. Just deal with the fact that you are grounded. Besides, it's only for a week.

You are a spoiled brat. I feel sorry for your brother since he is doing your parent's job. 4am is not 2:30am. You can give excuses for being late but not a reason. Do your brother a favor, quit being a punk and do what you are suppose to do. 2:30 is too late for a 14 yr old anyway. Your parents ought to be jailed and you're whinning about your brother. Be thankful that he at least cares.

That is insane for a 14year old to have a 2:30 am curfew. Someday, you will be glad that your brother cared. It's totally natural for older siblings to try to keep the younger ones out of trouble. They do it out of love, annoying as it is.
