OK well when I was younger I fell and hit an object. It knocked 2 small holes in both front teeth (at the top) . Ya I know I should have went to the dentist. I've always been scared after one dentist gave me too much of that numbing stuff and I couldn't even tell I was breathing. I have asthma so you can imagine how that turned out. Anyone I have 2 huge cavities in both. Theres only some white left like half way down on each one. They don't hurt any though. Can the dentist fill them? These cavities are pretty big. Barely any white left.

You won't know if you need root canals on the teeth until the dentist examines the teeth and an xray is taken. As far as the asthma, make sure you update your medical history and let them know (and other medical conditions you may have)~ then you'll get a 'different' type of anesthesia, the one without epi in it...

Amalgam (silver filling material) is never used in the front teeth, so don't worry about that....

Good luck!

Yes, I just broke a front tooth off the other week & the dentist put it right back on. I also have fillings on front teeth. The dentists are good at filling front teeth. They can do it with little anesthetic, because it's in the front. They can use the white filler, so it doesn't have to be silver or gold, if you can afford that.

Without seeing these teeth I would have to say that yes, they can be restored and you're going to be pleasantly surprised at how good they appear. What looks really bad to you may not look so terrible to a dentist. Just don't put this off any longer [like don't cancel the apt.] and good luck!

Probably not you will have to get a root canal. After you get one you may want to get the two tooth's capped because it is very obvious that something went wrong with the teeth. It may not be too late to just get them filled but I'm thinking it is, sorry.

Ask if you can exchange the silver fillings for a white filling and ask if they'll ease up on the numbing stuff.

Fill, probably not. Crown probably. Crowning would look better anyway. If they can't save the teeth, you probably need a partial denture, or maybe a bridge.

I'll bet your smile will be 1000% better!
