Somebody responded to a question of mine with the above. Can anyone answer it? (My own answer would be for the same reason mankind has created 3,000+ other religious 'bibles' and gods: http://www.godchecker.com )

First, it is not all fake. There are some real people, places, and events mentioned as proven by written records of surrounding kingdoms and archaeological evidence.

Second, there are many reasons why it was compiled. The main ones might be history, rules of behavior, promotion of ethnocentrism of Jews, submission of women, political power of the Levite priests, and spiritual inspiration.

the bible was not compiled out of history but from prophecy.... the new testament was taken from the days of the agnostic and their research.... the years where nature was fighting back and all it's spiritual teachers and societies were destroyed by the catholics and christians.... Revelations was another the days of mother nature and a man refered to as jesus.... the church was out to kill him as in the story... that is why not so long ago the story went from Jesus being crusified to Marrying Mary Magdalaine... cause the church failed to kill him... the old testament is also mother nature bringing nature to consciousness and instead of teaching the spiritual people of the earth she teaches the guardians of the earth how to teach the spiritual people of the earth... a lot of it is criptic because that's how she stopped the church from consuming all the power... they have a knack for murder...even in today's age.

Hawaiian this will be rather long so bear with me. The scriptures are allegorical, there is a mythology and they do not refer to literal events. I wish I could add my ancient quotations to really show this point, but it will be too long, I tried and nothing came through.

The way I explain it is this, all scriptures are essentially Gnostic. What this means is that they are all allegorical narratives that relate to internal process, those processes being hidden within allegories to teach man about what they are constituted in mind and being. Scripture is esoteric and the only real quality they have if one applies them within themselves, not externally but internally. The problem is seen in the fact that people don't understand that movements often have different levels of progression that meets the need of the seeker considering their level of discernment, mental/spiritual progression. The way these movements were set up is that they had a body, the body served as the entry level, or elementary teachings where many would perceive the allegories in a literal fashion because it was necessary that they be observant to the degree that these things helped them to live better lives in contrast to the great carnality that consumed them before. Then there was a level for seekers who had come to the point where they began to utilize reason, these had the capacity to see things to a greater degree and in fact see how scripture had inconsistencies or could not be so utterly literal. Then it came to the level of progress, who having passed the milk level through maturity, having passed through the thinking level, have come to the level in which they are now able to understand what the symbols/allegories signify within themselves and have come to the state of achieving gnosis.

Scriptures are detailed esoteric guide books, which detail the inner workings of the different levels or states of consciousness, its aspects, the laws that work upon it, and etc. It's objective is for you to draw within yourself and gain a greater connection and capacity to grow in union with your higher spiritual self. So the interpretation, although has a specific one by the writer, to the reader the only true interpretation is that they draw within, in this is true education, or to draw without from the within. Physical people perceive things literally, they are organic and its what they do. The God in the OT is an allegory, this does not mean there is no actual greater Force, but just that what is presented within scriptures is more so a display of a law that takes precedence over the experience of man, so scripture, all of it is parabolic.

If you haven't noticed there is a common thread, you will always see numerical symbols of 3, 7 (essential an octave though), 12, 24, 40, and etc, these are mystical esoteric numbers which conveyed cycles, patterns replicated through out every level of our substance. St Paul said that the letter killeth, because those who took it literally made traditions and rituals out of them, like doing animal sacrifices, but the sacrifice that was asked for was their own animal nature. The same with the Muslims Jihad, this is supposed to be applied inwardly, the Sufi's a mystical Islamic sect knows the Ou'ran is an allegory. The objective is to bring about the inner kingdom in Christianity, the Promise Land within in Judaism, reach the distant mosque in Mecca within in Islam, reach Nirvana in Buddhism, and all the many other allegories similar, be it summerland or whatever, its all based on this one saying, 'Know thy self." So the scriptures aren't relating fake things, but rather in their knowledge internal things and forces/laws. So they were written for a purely spiritual/internal reasons, as a means to be used as a key or tool in the endeavor for the enlarging of consciousness and development into a higher state of being. The Mystics of old knew the world in regards to what you sensory perceives is not essentially concrete, but an illusion, but since you are the observer and the mind constructs hard reality by interpreting frequencies, they applied this interpretation as reflecting realities of mind. So life to them was like a open scripture for themselves to uncover for their own inner harmony, and they applied this to scripture because they could be no means explain to people in a direct manner that they could understand about what they knew of "higher reality."

YES THIS IS LONG, but I took this serious enough to put time into it since I have been researching religious movements, and the various ideologies for at least 6 years straight extensively.

well the old testament was made up because people were genuinely trying to figure out how the world works, the new testament is a bunch of propaganda designed to control people.
