yes, there are. You become very attached to someone you are intimate with. and if the relationship does not last. you have extreme feelings of regret because you didn't save yourself for that special person. You'll lose your innocence. If your confused about what to do. Its best to do nothing until you can fully understand what you have and what you want.

Hope i helped ^_^

You havn't mentioned your age, but I assume from your question that you are at the lower end of the age scale you mentioned 14-20.
Alot is happening with your body at the moment and hormones will be running wild, but sex is a major step and one that should not be taken lightly. The sharing of your body through such an intimate act as sex is something that you will want to give a lot of thought to and ideally it will be with a person who respects and loves you, no pressure or expectations.
I would give careful consideration to entering into a relationship with a person 10 years older than yourself, you may regret having sex with this person if the relationship breaks down.
There is plenty of time for sex...enjoy life and enjoy being young. The right person will come along and the main thing is that after having sex, you have no regrets.

There is no downside mentally.

Keep in mind that, back before society really became developed, women were having children around 15 years old. The female body's most fertile period is between 14-18, which is in part why so many teenage pregnancies occur.

In other words: because the female body is tooled to have children from a relatively early age, you may be sure that it is not mentally damaging.

i have heard about that, altho i didnt have any mental damage. just make sure u wouldnt regret after you have done it. n then, im guessing no damage done. also, make sure the guy isnt a stupid head, cuz then u may regret it, and have "mental damage".

Honestly, the longer you wait the better. Make sure it's with someone that really cares about you.

Here is my un scientific opinion - the longer you wait, the more you will want it, and the more you are likelly to become a slut in college.
