I hope NASCAR doesn't, even Tony said in the post-race interview he felt it was just an "atta boy" bump. He also said that Kevin is the same guy that after he won Daytona in Kev's Mr.Clean car left a stripe down the whole side of the car from banging on him as congrats. I think that's funny since his crew guys then had to do extra work thanks to the boss!!
I'm sure they'll tell him don't do it again....but the bigger question is, do you think NASCAR will fine Tony for saying what he said? It's cable and he was actually defending all of his fans...but will the boys in the "Oval Office" turn their head or will they try and take points? I REALLY hope they turn their head!

as it was stated pretty much throughout the race that Harvick and Stewart are good friends and as a matter of fact Stewart races for Harvick in some of the Busch series races, why would he do something that would jeopardize their friendship? I believe it was nothing more than a way of congratulating Stewart for winning the race. Actually "the bump" after the race that happens more than people realize. Should Harvick be penalized? No he should not.

No! Even though I don't think it was a friendly bump he should not be penalized. It didn't hurt anything and he was just showing emotion. I am a huge Smoke fan and if Kevin is penalized I think Stewart should appeal to NASCAR on Kevin's behalf.

I think NASCAR could only see $$$$$$ when that happen. Especially if the same jerk off that handed out the COT fines has anything to do with on track stuff.
It's bad when half the talk in the Q and A is about fines and not the race. Guess you all will have to wait until Tuesday when your race is over.

We don't know yet if he was called for the bump or the rub when he was trying to pass. I think both were a friendly gesture. Kevin is a cut up and Tony is a friend. Nascar needs to relax a little and let every one have a little fun. There was no danger to anyone there.

Nope. I think he was just putting a donut on the side of Tonys car and did it a bit rough. They had just finished some pretty intense racing the adrenaline etc.Stuff like that has to be overlooked.Had he spun him out it would be a different story but there was no harm done.

Remember that Dale Earnhardt in the number 3 would give a "donut" to the winner.
And the 29 car was the number 3?

Not at all, Tony Stewart said he didnt mind it. He and Kevin Harvick are friends because you can see why.

No he doesn't deserve a penalty. Its not like he ran him into a wall because he was mad. He left a donut on the side of the car. That used to be a weekly event in Nascar and i was happy to see it yesterday.

I didn't think it was anything but a friendly bump, he was just peed off he didn't win so it might have appeared to be harder than normal, but I wouldn't read to much into it
