she might be anorexic.
you shouldnt drink more than a gallon a day because its too much for your kidneys to process - you do more harm than good for your body doing that.

First, why should she drink other liquids? Water is the only one our bodies were meant to have. And if you mean juice, they are prodominantly water as well, but with lots of unnescassary sugars. And what size water bottle is she drinking because I did the math and if they are 16.9 oz. then she is at most consuming 135 oz. in a day. And if they are 33.8 then she would be consuming over 200 oz. Anyway, as per what was stated by the others, water poisoning can happen, but it takes time and that lady that died did not pee in order to release the excess water and it in turned overloaded her organs. I know from experience, that overdrinking for a period of time will actually make you thirstier because you wash away (as someone else stated) the sodium in your blood, aka electrolytes. I stopped drinking so much water and had to supplement my elcrtolytes with Smart Water for awhile until I was no longer constantly thirsty. Also, it is possible that if she is constantly thirsty, she might be diabetic. Otherwise, if she iexercises regularly, 135 oz. is not bad as long as she is able to quench her thirst!

that actually sounds like the ammont that physicians tell us we are supposed to drink.
however, it is possible to drink too much. in doing so many of the water-soluble vitamins in your system flush out. it is also very possible to drink too much at one time
around here, in the san diego area, a local radio station was having a contest called "hold your Wee, For a Wii" which was right after the Wii had released. there were two women involved, and they were to keep drinking water until they had to use the bathroom. people called in telling the radio station it was a bad idea but they kept doing it. eventually one of the women died (on the air no less) from poisoning herself.

maybe she should consider drinking a little less. only when she really feels thirty or like she just needs some, it's bad if she drinks it all at once, if she drinks it throughout the day then she should be fine. of course excess of anything is bad for anyone. she should calculate how much water she should drink for her body.

It is possible to overdose on water. Its called hyponatremia, water intoxication. Too much intake of water can lead to a loss of sodium in the blood, thus resulting in some nasty complications. I suggest she consume a bit less.

depends on her weight, I read in a book that your supposed to drink 1/3 amount of your bodyweight, but I'm not sure, but It's possible to kill yourself drinking to much water.
A lady was trying to win a free PS3 for her son, in a water drinking contest, she won, but died, by drowning her insides.
