I had mine pierced a few years ago. I read all the horror stories online- lots of people said that it hurt really bad. When I got mine done there was no anesthetic used, they just used a hollow needle. It was over in just a few minutes, and it didn't hurt at all (and I'm a huge sissy when it comes to pain!!) It was a little sore later that day, and even now it hurts a little if I get my barbell stuck on my pants or something!

There is pain involved anytime you stab a hollow needle through your skin. I personally though it was worse about an hour after. Overall though, not totally horrible, kinda like chomping down on your tongue when you are eating. (Ya'll know what I'm talking about!)

It will stay sore for a couple weeks at minimum. You will be bumping it all the time, getting clothes caught on it, and probably won't be able to keep from touching it all the time.

Just keep it clean so it heals quick, and you'll be fine.

I've got my belly pierced 2 times, the fist one is quite hurt, cuz I have to stand up!! (BIG mistake) & the piercer wasn't a good one but the last one I had which is a week ago didn't hurt at all. Maybe it depends on the piercer, if u have the professional piercer then it might not hurt as they have lots of experiences and after u got pierced u have to keep it clean!

YES!!!!!!!! Its one of the most excruciating painful things a person can do to themselves. In fact in Babylonian times piecing the bellybutton was a cruel torture used only on the most hated of enemies. The Persians adopted it from the Babylonians and the Greeks & Romans got it from them. Finally in the 9th century the Pope abolished its use saying "belly button piecing is an abomination to God! I will not let a single navel in Christiandom suffer this most gruesome of fates!" One more thing, bellybuttons have been known to do all sorts of weird things when subjected to a needle. They change color, bleed for years, grow gigantic and sometimes burst, spilling your guts over everyone. I'd not do it if I were you.

Its not bad at all, just don't look because the needles big. Unfortunately I had to take mine out because it was having trouble healing, but it was never really painful.

depends on your pain tolerance. its a pinch and then its over. the more u turn it while it heals, the pain eases itself and heals quicker. Use lots of Band-aid Ointment and the Wash. It really works.

Getting anything pierced hurts. I haven't had mine, but my cousin who did said it hurt, but if you take care of it for however long they say to, it will get better.
