It's pretty breath-taking but most stylists don't warn you and that's always best because it's like removing a band-aid. It's pretty painful the first few times but after awhile the area should lose some sensitivity. hopefully this helps!

The intensity of the pain varies w/ each person's pain threshold & the skill of the technician.

For the most part, the pain from having my brows waxed hasn't been bad at all. There was 1 occasion when the technician re-waxed an area repeatedly & irritated my skin. Delicate areas are not supposed to be re-waxed to avoid taking off any skin. When she finished, she off handedly said "I dont' think I did any permanent damage. Just be sure to apply Neosporin." I never went back to her.

To help reduce pain:

1) Let the tech. know you are new to waxing & tell her about any medications you may be using. Topical med.s like Retin-A thin the skin so waxing must be avoided.

2) Avoid caffeine 24 hours before the appt. to minimize redness. You can also ask for a cold wax. The tech may also apply a cool wash cloth as a compress or apply aloe vera to sooth the skin.

3) Avoid getting waxed during the week before your period. The hormone levels make some women more sensitive to pain.

I have waxed my eyebrows since I was around 13.

It really doesn't hurt bad at all, unless your eyebrows are totally overgrown and unruly...

I actually enjoy getting them done, as crazy as it sounds. Usually what they do is clean the eyebrow area with a toner prior to the waxing, and after the waxing they apply a cooling lotion. It really doesn't hurt much at all. There may be some redness, however it usually is gone within 30 minutes or so.

well, first of all, i hope you arent doing it yourself. the wax is really sticky, and you cants get all the hairs as well as an esthetician. a good esthetician will make sure the wax is a good temperature, and it wont be very uncomfortable at all. if you do get an esthetician who burns you with the wax, DONT go back. an expert wont burn their clients. no worries, getting your brows waxed is worth it!

I've had it done, it doesn't hurt really badly at all, but it is very red afterwords, and you shouldn't wear makeup for the rest of the day and the night to let the skin heal. the next day, the redness will have gone down and your life goes on as normal. of course, i had it done at a REALLY good place, so I don't know. it was in a private massage room and stuff *laughs* enviroment has a lot to do with it.

It depends on the wax -- I tell my beautician to use hard wax. It doesnt hurt nearly as bad as if you would've used wax with paper (don't use that, its cheap wax & doesnt work as well). Its a relief from tweezing, especially if youre known to grow hair fast! Hope I helped!

greater in many circumstances than i might want to. i think of the two worst circumstances i've got had to is in coping with the widow of a general customer and a the mothers and fathers of a guy I grew up with who devoted suicide. They have been the two terrible circumstances i don't care to relive. i did not recommendations the actual beating, the screaming, the tears, my own experience of grief plenty as I hated myself for not being waiting to quite help them by it. i be conscious of there is not something i will do, yet i've got have been given to attempt to help. If I supply up attempting, i will supply up seeing myself as human. D
