Before we were conceived we didn't exist at all, in any capacity. Once we were conceived we were complete human beings, body, soul and spirit. Our status doesn't change when we are born. Birth is just a change of address, not a change of species or nature.

Spirit doesn't exist without the body. So when there is live, there is also spirit. Baby is a good example.

I think that it's different for everyone. Some people have souls that have been around for a long time, and others have newly created souls. Before we were born, we were either in another body or in heaven or not created yet. How could we have come from nothingness?

Although i am only a teenager this is what i think...i think we were all in the mind of God before we were born re. Ephesians 1:4 "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight"...to me this says that even before adam and eve were put upon this earth we were in God's mind, so that to me says that we existed well before any of us were born

I read a verse the other day, can't remember where, but it said that God created the soul (or spirit, can't remember which it said,) in the body. My opinion is that the soul isn't created until conception. Again, that is my opinion -- but it's because of that verse I'd read.

Christians believe that our souls are created by God at the moment of conception. We did not exist before that instant.
This is the primary reason for our respect for the unborn.
With love in Christ.

Nothing. Nobody seems to be disturbed by that, so it is ridiculous to be bothered by the concept of being gone after death. Neither an afterlife nor a pre-life are desirable or necessary.

we did not exist until the moment our mother conceived us in her womb. from that very second on, we where a real person. that's why abortion is so bad, because we have a soul, not like a dog or something, but from the very moment of conception, we have a spiritual soul. we are made in the image an liness of God.

It's one of the unexplainable things of the world. Nobody knows what happens before birth and after death.
