Because leaving Iraq like the mess it is, would be irresponsible and stupid. Things would get worse that before the invasion and all of our efforts would have been for nothing. We need to make Iraq stable before leaving.

And learn how to spell.

Because pulling troops out would only encourage Al Qaeda and other would be terrorists to take their attacks back to our soil. If you look at what happened during the Clinton administration and his cowardly withdrawal after the battle in Somalia, it only encouraged Osama Bin Laden (since his money paid for alot of the militias that we had fought) and led to the eventual escalation of attacks which culminated during 9/11 attacks on the WTC. We need to fight the enemy wherever he may be, and hopefully that will be on foreign soil.

1. there is still oil there!

2. Maybe the administration thinks it will take our mind off the fact that they are spending money that our great - great - Grandchildren will be paying off! Of maybe they are just frustrated that they still can't find Osama Bin Laden, and they have to take their frustration out on SOMEBODY!

3. Because all of the other places that we should be worried about, like North Korea, or Egypt and Pakistan (which was the nationality of the individuals who actually took over the planes on 9/11) are too scary for us to pick on!

4. We're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here! (I mean it would cost a fortune to fly them all over here and you couldn't really stage it as an event like football, so there's no real money in it , right?)

5. Haliburton hasn't made quite enough money to make their move to Kuwait yet. You wouldn't want to leave Cheney out in the cold now that the Bushes have made their money on corporate oil and our children's left behinds?

there is no way bush is gonna pull out of Iraq before the election? If we pull out now,it would be an insult to all those soldiers who died for our country. Support our soldiers!

Because Bush opened Pandora's Box and now he can't close it. He would stay until every drop of blood from every soldier is gone to try and save his "legacy". Better to have dead American soldiers than to look bad and admit a mistake.

one sad day in the future, i hope you remember this question. you and others like you have only one reason to want such a thing: your dislike for the current president. such naive thinking is driving our country to make naive decisions. they usually have a very high cost in the end.

We should not have been there in the first place. But since we are, we need to finish what we started. Leave now and we will be back there and in a worse mess than now.
