bulimia might make you gain weight - it depends on how severe it is
anorexia makes you lose water weight and muscle
both of those diseases make you end up with relatively higher body fat percentage.

Yes, it could. It is actually considered bulimia when you are of normal weight or higher weight for your height. Your body may go in starvation mode and hold on to the weight that you already have instead of using it for energy. It will break down any nutrients that it does get and store it immediately because your body is making sure you won't starve. Gaining weight is not always necessarily what happens, but it is not a way to lose weight.

Bulimia goes along with binge eating and by the time the person self induces vomiting the person may have digested enough calories to gain weight.

Theoretically, it could I guess. When you are deprived of adequate nutrition long enough, your body starts to think that it's in a famine situation and will start stockpiling all the calories (in the form of fat) when you do eat again.
