Haha, okay...well im redoing my bedroom as "the beach" and I need some major ideas. I'm a teen and most of the things i've seen have looked "too old". I was thinking of using a navy comforter that my grandma made. its beautiful. and painting the walls light blue? I'm not sure. I really like shells and the color blue and fish and things of that sort. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for items that would look nice in a Beach Themed bedroom for a teenager, but i can't find anything. If you have any ideas PLEASE let me know. Thank you! God Bless. <3

hey light blue is a color where people easily make mistakes because there are so many kinds of light blue. to avoid choosing the wrong shad of light blue, invest in large paint chips (18"x18") .....they are about 4 dollars each but they give you a good sense of color on an expanse. (if you dont want to spend on chips use a solid towel or solid tablecloth or solid showercurtain or solid fabric because color truly needs to be seen on an expanse.) ... feel free to use free chips but be aware those little chips can fool the eye and at worse be costly and aggravating in time and money spent. remember nowadays stores like Lowe's and even some good hardware stores offer color matching with a scanner gun and a paint "computer". all you need to do is bring in your SOLID sample (no pattern!) for the clerk to scan, the larger the better. you can also invest in white boards and those little "sample jars" but i think that method's more expensive than the large chips method. happy painting!

Try making some things yourself. Do you live near a beach? If so, take a trip to the beach and pick up some shells. If you don't live near a beach, there are websites where you can order shells online. Buy some sand and make a shadow box with the shells and sand. Hang on the walls for a cool decoration. Or if a shadow box isn't your thing, get a tall vase and put the sand and shells in there to display on a dresser or something.

I think painting the walls a light blue or a light aqua color is a great idea. My friend has a beach themed guest room and that's what she did. She painted the walls a light blue and put a straw colored area rug in the room. On the windows she hung gauzy curtains. The key is to keep the colors light.

Redecorating can be fun when you know what you want. It sounds like you're on the right track. So are you thinking eastern seaboard beach, Florida beach, California beach, Hawaiian beach...? Maybe you'd like some model sailboats on display shelves. You can buy hollow glass lamps and fill them with shells. Put a beach chair in your room (if you have the space) and hang a bright beach towel over it. How about hanging a beach umbrella in a corner of your room, or maybe over your bed? I looked at Bed, Bath, and Beyond's website and found some of these things under seasonal: summer: beach. I even found a light-up palm tree! Now that would be an interesting addition to your room. Just for fun, I searched "Hawaiian decor" and came up with some interesting possibilities. Try going to http://www.dlgallerygifts.com. I see some wall art, lamps, and even some silk tropical flowers that might interest you. Have fun searching.

Are you close to the beach??? If so I would suggest going to a boat yard. You may be able to find some cool old beach/ marine themed goodies. Also check the local building supply for Bamboo mats or just Bamboo stocks. Fishing supply stores would also have some beach related items that might interest you. Good luck and God Bless back to you... Jason

I would get a twin size waterbed to put that beautiful Navy blue comforter on(as riding a wave)get small shells and just glue them to the edges of your shelves. For the Windows you can either take large Beach Towels and make curtains or you can make a Tiki Hut Roof out of Rafia and Bamboo fencing with tiki heads as if they are holding up the Tiki Hut.

Next take an old surfboard or boogie boards and make a headboard and footboard for your bed.

Its so much fun when you can be creative!

Colorful fish, flip flops, do your curtains wide red and white striped (like the tents that rent the surfboards on the beach), get a surfboard and hang on the wall, go to the flea market and find some old beach boys albums and hang the album jackets on the wall, Look online at terry's village.com and collections.com--they usually have some stuff for decorating that is reasonably priced. Also, get a conch shell and use it for a planter--plant a small ivy vine in it.

I was going to do this for my room!
Paint a beach scene on one of your larger walls. With you bedding, use the one your grandma made, then have tan pillows. Get some shells and place them on your window seal. Print some pictures of the beach offline and place them on your closet doors!

This is what my aunt did for my cousin.
My aunt started by painting the walls two colors.
A sand color up to the white chair rail, and a blue for the rest of the wall.
She accented with surfboard photos, tiki torch lights and flip flop frames.

it depends on how much developed you are. 16 is kind of late to be "just starting" but it is possible. have you had a wet dream yet? if not, your body might not be ready for this. you can email me if you want to discuss youe particular situation but here is some basic advice. there is a muscle between yolur legs, if you peniis is like half hard you can make it stiffer by tensing this muscle. you need to tense this muscle when you stroke. tense and stroke for 10 to 20 seconds, then relax a few sec, then repreat. speed about 1 to 2 strokes per second. then if you start to feel a tingling, or like you need to pee, then don't stop, start stroking as fast as you can for as long as you can, and that might be enough to push you over the edge to climax. hope this helps. I am a parent.
