How much physical excerise do you do during the day? You may simply have too much energy inside, so run around or do something tiring before bed

Although I'm quite a bit older than you, I have the same problem, and have had the same problem for years now. If you are hyperactive, the best thing you can do is physically and mentally wear yourself out BEFORE you try to go to sleep. I do about 40 pushups and about 70 situps to wear out my body. Then I try reading a crappy book. This will help a little, and will probably give you 3 or 4 more hours of sleep. If you are suffering from insomnia, you probably have a lot of stress in your life. Eliminate the stress, eliminate the insomnia. Many famous people in history were unable to sleep more than three or four hours each night. Edison, Jefferson, Einstein, and even Lincoln had trouble sleeping and would spend their evenings solving the problems of their world. Maybe you're the next Einstein!?!?!

ugh I'm 21 and I still can't sleep right. Some people might say taking sleep pills. If Soothing music doesn't help, you could try to
think of a hard question like "what do birds think of clouds" something that is so pondering that you get lost and fall asleep.
Or you could try to do the opposite and take deep breaths, maybe sip warm water (flavored if you have to but no sugar) and concentrate on breathing. I sometimes feel restless enough to try to do something like run around my house 5 times, then slow myself down and THEN try to sleep. the ol'wear and tear approach.

I hope this if not helps, gives you some ideas.

Hey, same here! I'm 15, and I can't fall asleep for hours! And the next day I'm exhausted.

Make sure you aren't drinking caffiene after 5PM, don't eat two hours before bed, and don't exercise before bed. 20 Minutes before bed, drink some noncaffienated tea. While doing this, sit in a dark room, and meditate. Breath in through your nose, out your mouth. Listen to your heart beat, and concentrate on the darkness of the back of your eyelids. This is the time to think about everything you would in bed.

Try counting backward from 100, and if you get off track, start over. Then, go straight to bed. After a few nights, your body will get into a routine, and notice that this is 'bed time.'

Good luck!

Yo

If you watch a lot of TV in the evening or spend a lot of time in front of a computer, that can cause some people's bodies not to produce enough melatonin. Melatonin is what makes you sleepy. Try getting melatonin supplements at a drugstore or grocery (they're in with the vitamins). Get the 3mg tablets, and take one about 30 min before you want to go to bed. Do NOT take more than you're supposed to. It's not a drug, it's something your body makes naturally, but you still don't want too much of it in your system or you'll start feeling tired all the time.

I had and still have the same problem as you do. I listened to music and read and nothing helped. I don't know if you'd want to do this, but I've found a medication that helps me sleep.

Whatever you do, don't overwhelm yourself with thoughts from the day. That is a very common contributing factor to lack of sleep.

Well i have the same proublem... Most of it is b/c you are getting use to staying up late... Whichh you shouldnt do to much...
1. You are scared of something and you dont know yet
2. You have stayed up to late for a while
3. You have a basic sleeping proublem and need to try a sleeping pill..

If not try listening to slow music lay in bed; Read or play a handheald.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress,
dietary and medical problems. By making
small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly,
insomnia can be cured. I found the information

maybe you can drink a cup of warm milk before sleep. i suggest you do not eat before sleep, or if can eat 3 hours before sleeping time, and prevent eating spicy food for your dinner. Maybe you can do some physical exersices in the day. hope these can help you.
