I think it all comes down to being responsible, mature, and very much in love.
I think that if you honestly love some one and you make a mature decision about having sex it should be okay.
Personally I'm waiting for marriage because I want it to be sacred and special. But I know that not everyone WANTS to get married and sex isn't about love for some people.
I am christian btw.

I believe that pre marital sex is fine as long as its with some who you truly love that loves you back, and you should be at least 17 years old, not all these little 14 year olds just giving up their virginity to try sex, sex is an adult thing and it should be that way. Young teens don't even have a clue of what it truly means to be sexually active in the right form.

What are your thoughts on pre-marital sex? Use condoms to prevent unwanted pregnancy and disease..

Ans what is your religion? Atheist..

Des your religion influence your beliefs inthis matter? Nope was on the same opinion before I even knew what Atheism was..

Do you have a logical reason for your opinion or do you hold it because of some external influence?

Since we knows pre-martial sex is going to happen (Anyone who thinks otherwise is extremely naive.) the best way to keep people safe is education on disease and pregnancy prevention and accessibility to birth and disease control paraphernalia.. ..

I believe that premarital sex is fine and dandy provided that it a) doesn't cause undue guilt in either party, and b) safe sex is practiced. I also think that premarital sex is an excellent way to determine sexual compatibility prior to marriage, which is a very important factor in the success or failure of a union.

I am Wiccan, and firmly believe that all acts of love and pleasure, pursued to a reasonable degree and with harm to none, are valuable and potentially sacred. But I held that view when I was an atheist also... I guess I always was a Utilitarian at heart.

I'm Wiccan, and we generally view sex a a good thing. I personally am in favor of pre marital sex, because life is too short to waste on a relationship where certain basic needs are not met. And spare me the bullsh!t about "If you only had the 1 partner, you wouldn't know the sex was bad!". Monogamy is a nice dream, but completely unrealistic.

I'm an atheist, and I view sex as a positive thing. It's one of the most natural and normal functions of the human body. Two people who love each other should have no problem enjoying sex together and they don't need any piece of paper (marriage license) in order to do that. Living together is the only way to determin if you are, in fact, compatable. If you never decide to marry, so what.

I'm an Atheist. I don't believe that we're all going to wait around until we find our perfect partner, to have sex. It's unrealistic to think that we aren't going to have urges, that we aren't going to want the experience (and the fun while gaining the experience) to please our life partner when that time comes. Most people aren't going to be married until their in their mid-twenties to late thirties, and some people aren't even married until then.

Should we all wait around until we find that person? It could be between 20 and 40 years before we get married, and even then, marriages are built and fall apart sometimes, just as fast as they were built.

There's a difference between waiting for someone special, who you really trust and have been with for a long time, and jut going around having sex. Obviously, going around having sex whenever, for the fun of it, isn't really moral, but if you're not married, but really love someone and care about t hem - why not?

Some people never get married, just the way they are. Not everyone is a comittable person, you know?

The Catholic Church stands strong against pre-marital sex and for good reason. Sexual relations are made for a man and a woman in marriage. Please read "The Good News About Sex and Marriage," by Christopher West. The book explains the Catholic teaching in light of John Paul II's Theology of the Body. God BLess You!

I am LDS and I abstain from pre-marital sex. My religion greatly influences this decision but it is not the only factor. Only negative things can happen from sex before you are married, so why do it? There are too many risks involved and I want to save myself for my husband.

Necessary for the future of the couple. Women leave men after a long relationship if not sexually satisfied. So if partners for life don't know one another in that light, how can they make the marriage work if one is unhappy with the other?
