It sounds like an issue with the sacrum or pelvis not lining up properly. When this happens, it really irritates the sof tissues surrounding the joints, and any nerves that pass through there. If you know you have a scoliosis, you probably already have issues with your sacrum. Has this happened before? Ice it as often as you can. Avoid using heat, this will cause everything to stiffen up on you. See a good chiropractor. Depending on how old you are, he/she may be able to straighten out the scoliosis. Even a mild scoliosis will continue to give you problems if you don't do anything about it. The ice will do you more good than the anti-inflammatories and pain killers your MD will prescribe. And they won't fix the problem, only cover up the symptoms. See a chiropractor, it will help. I do it every day.

you might have scholousis-scol-e-o-sis (dont no if its spelled right)(back pain) its when you vertabra (however you spell it) are goin' different ways or like one vertabra is slighly slanted and the others are fine. then it will move on and your back will hurt for a while if you do go to a CHYROPRACTOR he can help stop the rotation of your vertabra. Or if you wait to soon you will have to have sugary on your back and/or have to wear a brace around you back and it will be very painful also the sugary is when the have 2 metal bars that they hook to you spinalchord that helps it stratin' out but you cant get them removed (thats what my CHYROPRACTOR said) but if you dont go to a CHYROPRACTOR then you'll be in a lotta pain that can make you pass out

Have you seen your doctor? Have you tried taking Ibuprofen for the pain?
